Battle Chasers was a great comic book that never got to be finished. Hopefully this game can give some closure to the story...or start something new.

Suzakuhelldragon there was kick starter for this a while ago. there were comics to go along with this for hire tier pledges. The release may come with digital copies. this is cool news though.

The Cliffhanger line could of been so much more because it reopened the possibility that comic books could be about more than just superheroes, like they used to be a long time ago.

No worries. The comics came out back in 1998, and it only had nine issues total, which concluded in a cliffhanger. The tenth issue was suppose to be published, but the creator of it, pursued a career in video games, and this game serves as the lost issue people were looking for to resolve the game. So, if you want to know about the world, start from there.

The fact its turn based convinced me to get this game. The art and music is cherry on the top.

Wait, Battle Chasers? That unfinished Image comic from the 90's? Wow, didn't see this coming. Here's hoping it turns out well, it looks quite interesting.

Golden sun was develop by a second party developer who don't make games for Nintendo anymore.

Amazing quality, incredible presentation, and the attention to detail is second to none. Wow. It's rare to see a project this well put together.

Pc gamer here and that honestly looks freaking amazing, animations, graphics, smoothness, colors... everything just screams "play me!"

Its gonna be on steam sooo.

I like how heavy the hits look during the fights. It makes the game more visceral, more intense. Darkest Dungeon was another game that did a good job with that.

Turn-based RPG are automatically interesting to me and the art direction of this one is really beautiful too! Just need to see more of the actual battle mechanics to see if I'll buy this but it's high on my list already!

Had to play a 2nd time because the music is so sweet on this. And Joe Mad's art is always awesome.

just got this game on pre order!! i saw it in my local eb games, there were so many switch games ive never heard of, it seems alot arent as popular as others? This is one ive never heard of. The minute i saw the art style i knew it was up my alley..

Its not that some of them are not popular. A lot of the games have came and went on the other platforms. So the people left are people that simply are not in the know or are just waiting for the switch version.

Joe Mad is my fav artist back in the day! Still have the original battle chasers comic! the art is fantastic, i hope the length of the game is long too.

It does not have to be from Japan to be a JRPG. Rather, he is referring to the mechanics that are typical of the JRPG formula, such as turn based combat being the main one, which originated from Japan. Thus, it is a JRPG-style game.

Ah. I see what you mean. Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy were inspired by Western role-playing games, such as Ultima and Wizardry series, so I do admit that it was an overlooked error on my end. However, regarding how the formula has been a staple for the JRPG genre for a long time and even to this day for many JRPGs, the mechanics overall have been more associated with it, thus my original point still remains that it is justified. On the other hand, the WRPG genre and many games since, has adopted a more D&D style approach, albeit in multiple variations, among many game mechanics, such as freedom to choose, and how your decisions can impact endings, all the while creating your own character, etc... I'm not trying to debate here. Rather, just clarifying my original post. However, you are correct.
