Just installed a renogy 100ah lipo battery in my gladiator. Run a dometic cfx3 45 for 33 hours and bed lights for about two hours and it used 14 percent of the battery. I consider that pretty amazing. I have the renogy dcdc charger to install. So I believe the single battery is going to be enough for an accessory battery. Thanks for the good video

I use the same batts for overlanding and the boat and just trade back and forth. Only thing you didn't mention was you need to make sure the charging system is lifepo4 compatible. Other wise it will damage the battery . Great video

Good video I’m going through the same thing right now. I bought a diesel heater for winter camping, and in order to get it to start requires some amperage. It’s the only thing I use that requires power. The diesel heater that is I’m not using refrigerators and other things because Iat this point pretty sold on yeti coolers and their efficiencies and simplicity but as I venture into a power supply system I have researched the typical solar generators, and I have not read a lot of great feedback for how much they cost and the longevity. So I am looking at buying lithium batteries and making my own system so if one component fails, it should be much easier to repair down the road.

Had same issue with the diesel heater. Two 100 amp agm at full charge but kept getting low volt error on the heater. Lucky I had a shore power option to plug in and the invertors extra little boost got it to start and didn’t need shore power after that.

@Ozark Overland Adventures that is pretty sweet. I know there are only a handful of trailers out there that do from the factory. But the math gets even better Matt. In order to get the 100 AH out of the AGM your need two like you said, and you'd do that twice in order to get to the 4000 life cycle of the LFP. Even better after the 10 years and two sets of AGM batteries you'd STILL have to buy a third set because the LFP would be down to 80%. The AGMs would be useless. I don't think this is even said and stresses enough about LFP is you can ABSOLUTELY use them below freezing, my DIY battery's can be run down to -20F. The other thing that's not said enough is the 32 degrees is the ACTUAL battery temperature NOT the physical outside temperature. Throw those battery in box and just using them MAY keep them above freezing.
