Battery Dyno #1: Headway 38120 LifePo4 - How much power can you get??

In this video we begin our first of many "battery dyno" tests where we figure out exactly how much amperage we're able to pull from a LifePo4 bank for car audio purposes (this means staying ABOVE 12 volts in a 4s bank!)

I plan to do many more of these for sure to get an idea of what every battery we can get is capable of doing.

I would like to see 96ah headway bank vs the glowe 90ah bank

In terms of amperage output, the Series 2 would be more inline with a 96 aH headway bank. That is the car audio focused battery. Series 1 is an excellent car audio battery but is also geared towards large amounts of storage.
My question is, can I still use my 630 farad xs power super cap with a 64ah headway bank?

I can do that.
I bought some of these because they were meant to be high currnet.. in reality they are poor. Went to blue 6ah lto, whic had a tiny fraction of the internal resistance and therefore the lto were much much better for high current .. over 100amps

LTO cells are definitely going to yield better results than headway, I agree.

I’m not a fan of headway cells, but many folks are - that’s why I threw them on my test bench. You should check out our series 3 battery! It can provide over 700a of current.
