Have you tried Lakka? I've got Lakka playing Gamecube on my Pi4. It's pretty good. Not all games, so far but most can play. Still haven't gotten PS2 figured out, probably bios. This is just in preparation for when I get a Pi5 I will have some idea of what I'll need to do.

Depends on what os you are using

Please test by running a virtual machine on raspberry pi 5 by QEMU. If it support KVM or Kernel Based Virtualization .............!!!!?

Title of the video is ps2 emulation but the emulator doesn’t launch or play games what’s the point of there’s nothing to show?

It does launch some games in open gl pes works but slow. It’s the first multi emulator to have PS2 support. I explained it in the video. @@leepspvideo nobody uses this stuff for desktop they prefer a gaming front end. if it runs like this its a turn off. I dont see a reason to run anything outside of its inteded use.

Why are people mad at you for showing how things function in the beta? You are just showing how things are functioning right now, things will get better as more devs get their hands on the Pi 5

People aren’t mad. Betas are suppose to work unless you call it an alpha.

You dont have to restart. Just update game list.

Why does this run so differently compared to your other PlayStation 2 videos on the pi5? Seems so different that what you’ve been showing

It uses a different emulator. Play! is whats shown here. Aethersx2 (which is a fork of PCSX2) is the gold standard but the developer abandoned it.

i've tested it yesterday, rayman origins for the wii and it was running at lock 60. Should try heavier games. But i'm just waiting for now, and i think i'll buy a 512gb card before start doing a complete setup. Tested also GT4 for the ps2, but it runs slow in the menu, and ingame it was only artifacts. I don't knoow what emulator is this (it says Play) but it's really bad. Why don't just put aethersx2 considering it already exist. Also, i'm waiting for a retro case to put it in

It's weird that it looks like Vulkan is working, so AetherSX2 should work. If you want to try with OpenGL, you can spoof OpenGL 3.3, and AetherSX2 will start games, but it messes up the OpenGL rendering. I tested Final Fantasy X and I also noticed that menus are slow.

My Roms were working but now none of them launch now including n64, GameCube and ps2. It just kicks me back to the main screen. I have all the needed bios too. It was working but even when I did a fresh copy of botocera I’m still getting the same results please help 😱

tested this myself. they used the wrong ps2 emulator which isnt ideal for this board. these emulators r made primarily for pc thats why it doesnt work or perform

I run batocera v39 "butterfly" Mode on my Raspberry Pi 5. But my added ps2 Roms wont get recognized. I Update Game list but they dont Show Up. Neither as .iso or .chd. how do i add this ps2 support for my Raspberry Pi 5 with batocera? Anyone can Help?

But no Pi is on x86, they are all arm right? So how did you get ps2 to run within batocera on a pi5 If it is only for x86? I am fairly new to the "Pi Game" and i apologize for a maybe stupid question.

Orange Pi 5 seems to have the edge in emulation. It could change as the Raspberry Pi will get much better community and official support.
