No Indiana officials were actually invoked, The San Mateo Sheriff Deputies just flew out to Indiana, did not tell local Indiana authorities, and raided the his place. @@coreykirkpatrick4392 wrong Corey. Cass County Sheriff's department and Logansport PD provided logistical support(escorted San Mateo sheriffs) to Fiberglass Freaks and acted as "liaisons" for them during the illegal raid. Logansport PD and Cass County Sheriffs went in and supervised the search and detained the owner during their search. After the Logansport PD arrested the owner and took him into custody. Both Cass County and Logansport officers claim they didn't know what the specifics were. BS. If that's what you consider "not involved" in the raid I think you have a few screws loose😂. Both Indiana police agencies failed to protect their citizens from a rogue non-jurisdictional police action and participated in it by arresting the owner. @@HOLYHOUSE As a resident of Cass County Indiana I'd expect my local police to at the very least look over the alleged charges with a critical eye and protect me from an illegal raid. The warrant had to come from and be signed off of by a Cass County judge, that warrant had to be brought by a Cass County or Logansport police department before that judge (I forget his name). This wasn't like a fleeing suspect crossed over into our county and asked for our police's assistance in apprehending them.

@@eddyraye5825 Gordon is a badass in his own right The problem is that Gordon turns a blind eye to vigilantism which in most situations is a crime itself. No authority, no jurisdiction… any and all instances could result in charges of assault, battery, false imprisonment charges… There are only a handful of people, even in Gotham that have the sheer wealth, access and fit the physical description of Batman In the Dark Knight graphic novel, it took Bane about 2 minutes to figure out exactly who Batman was, though Gordon can’t figure it out in 70 years despite having spent time regularly with both Bats and Bruce. Though it’s commonly believed that Gordon has actually known for a significant amount of time but sees the benefits as outweighing the negatives Which goes back to Gordon ~knowingly~ overlooking vigilantism, at least in part because he’s friends with the man behind the cowl, much like this guy is friends with the sheriffs brother and parlayed that into a favor The craziest thing is that in spite of all this nonsense the builder is still going to fulfill the contract even though the buyer missed a payment (which based on the contract pushed him to the end of the queue) but also even though he directly caused an unjustified and illegal raid. If anything would be allowed to terminate the contract, I’d think that this whole raid business would be it, yet he’s still going to fulfill the order… in 3 1/2 years… but it sounds like the delay is exclusively due to the acquisition of certain parts rather than any animosity toward the buyer

The question is why was everyone dancing around the topic. This was an illegal use of police, violating the law, as a favor to a friend of the Sheriff. It's a clear case of Deprivation of Rights under color of law (TITLE 18, U.S.C., SECTION 242) which they crossed state lines, with intent (because obviously San Mateo officers have no jurisdiction in Indiana). So @ABC7NewsBayArea - have you asked the US attorney for the area if they're prosecuting?

Not that that wasn't already obvious but there is no way they can claim ignorance. But of course they will do nothing to the real criminals after spending all this time and money on the wild goose chase to punish/intimidate the guy that just wants to make Batmobiles.

By the county suing those responsible directly (after Fiberglass Freaks sues them) - it would send a message by the voters that this kind of thing will not be tolerated, and it will hit officials where it hurts most!
