It's crazy that we get a Hush Batman Omnibus but Legends of The Dark Knight sits in DC Purgatory.

This was so educational. Part of me still wants it, but what's the point if I already have the best two stories out of here?

If you got Hush TPB and Paul Dini Omnibus…then you’d already have all the best Hush stories. You’d be double dipping for no reason if you also got Hush omnibus

I have to wonder how these decisions are made when it comes to reprints. Between Supersons, Watchmen and the original Hush story DC releases these stories so many times when there are so many other stories just sitting in limbo.

It's easy, they release what they believe/know will sell.

Maybe one day, we will have a Legends of the Dark knight Omnibus, I will pass this!

I don't have the Paul Dini Omni and neither the Hush stories. But they're on my cart rn. Should I buy this Saga? Or get the PD omni and 20th anniv Hush? Please suggest all you good people out there. What will I miss? And will there be any double dips? I skipped the video the moment Omar said leave the video if you don't want spoilers. Help 😢

SOLD!!! I want this (highly anticipated and FINALLY it's here) omnibus that has a great amount of Hush stories. I know you mentioned some pages that COULD have been collected, Omar, but to see this omnibus.... 😍 Some of us (like me) have different versions of Hush, but this is the definite version that has a lot of stories PLUS the pages from the Batman: Hush: 20th Anniversary hardcover. Like I said before... I WANT THIS!!!! Thanks Omar!!!!! 👍

Hey Omar, I just wanted to stop by and thank you. I wanted to get into comics a few years ago and mostly started with Ostrander suicide squad on digital. But I really wanted to start holding actual books because I've always preferred physical over digital with my prose books. I eventually found your channel when I wanted to find ways to preview collected books online before getting them. I really hope they collect Hush Returns with the extra issues included here on a deluxe edition some day. It's all I need and I don't want to buy this omnibus just to get them.

I really enjoyed those Gotham knights issues. The Paul Dini streets of Gotham issues are my favorite hush stories.

That dust cover and hard cover are beautiful, can’t wait for mine to come in.

My copy is arriving in about 20 mins ! Can't wait .... after this being cancelled years ago.

Hush return is the best! Only reason why I bought this! I really enjoyed hush returns when I bought the single issues.

Thanks for the spotlight. Predordered this as soon as it was on the radar. Sadly, I think this is the 4th time I'll have indulged myself in a Hush collected edition. Definitely needs to be the last time as this should be the definitive edition for anybody new, and old. Not the greatest Batman story in my mind, but it's some of Jim Lee's best work ever which I need in my life.

My HUSH absolute had a bad spine that the pages wore off of, so this is a much pleasant upgrade. I think it will fit right between the NO MANS LAND books and the UNDER THE RED HOOD deluxe.

I didn't even know there was a Return of Hush story. I bought the Hush comics in issues as they came out, based on the Team-up of Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb! And I've been collecting the amazing Mafex Hush action figures. I recently bought the Absolute Edition and the Paul Dini Omnibus. The only story I haven't read is that Return of Hush story and the epilogue they recently released...

Certainly one I'm going to be grabbing in the next couple of weeks

Very cool omnibus, but im gonna stick w my hush book and dini omni. The hush returns just doesnt do enough to justify it for me especially considering i heard it wasnt that great of a story

The Prometheus in hush returns isn’t the same as one in morrisons JLA. It’s the second Prometheus and the original returns in the highly acclaimed JLA Cry for justice.😂

@@NearMintCondition I say if something is over 10 years old then you can can’t complain about spoilers. By that point most people already know about the spoiler and a lot of times has already been part of future stories.

Great overview, as always! The book looks really good and I would’ve definitely have gotten it if I didn’t have the Paul Dini omnibus already.

I'm not a fan of Hush (I think the original story is probably the most overrated Batman story ever and it doesn't help that I hate how it overshadows Batman Dead Reckoning, which is basically the inverse Hush-the art's not great but the writing is amazing), but wow I love the design of this book! Also, small correction on reading order: Hush starts after No Man's Land, and it doesn't go into New 52. There were a few years in between Final Crisis and Flashpoint.

I love the original Hush story, from Jeph and Lee . I got the deluxe book and rereading the book was enjoy ment for me to read. The omnibus book I would like to get, but I not in any rush to get it yet . I would like to get the Absolute edition of Hush for the Jim Lee beautiful art works. For me when I was reading the book it was like watching action, mystery, who done it, adventure story. For me I would put the Hush story, in the top ten best Batman stories. I mean the Hush 15th anniversary is a deluxe edition, so its oversized. But if you don’t have any hush definitely get this.

I selfishly want this to sell so well. We NEED a Demon Head Omnibus followed by Black Mask and others!

I’ve always thought about revisiting Hush Returns all these years later (I still have all of my original issues) but I’m not sure I’d want to put myself through that again 😜 I just remember it being such a convoluted mess that ultimately led to nothing (I believe “Gotham Knights” was unceremoniously canceled at the end of this and I think Lieberman had to rush out a conclusion). The Paul Dini stuff is the absolute cream of the crop tho-writing-wise it’s unquestionably the best part of this thing.

Too late Omar, you’re too great of a salesman. I’ve already purchased this omni SOLELY for Hush Returns!

I was at NYCC last month & Jeph Lobb was there. I could've brought the variant of Batman: Hush, but I waited to get this. Coming in the mail this Tuesday 🤫

Ideally you get the Absolute, place this one after War Games and then Dini.....somewhere amidst the Morrison pieces

Thanks for the information! It's really hard to find out who contributed to the other story lines after the first one. I mean, if you're half a Batman fan, you know that Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee did the first hush story, but no one seems to want to talk about the other ones. And Paul Dini is another name every Batman fan should have heard a few million times.

It's a truly magnificent book!

Those AJ Lieberman issues are not worth paying $200 for me. An easy pass.

Wait unless in the beginning you said Hush predates No Man's Land which i dont think it correct as NML was late 90s and Hush first appeared in 2002? Regardless great review and even though i won't be getting it as I already have Dini Omni and 15th Anniversary Hush book (will pass on those extra issues). For those that don't have the Dini Omni or just have the OG Hush saga this is a great book to get for you.

Guys, just a question, will be published other Tales of the Batman volumes? I saw that the last one is dated 2020 but the second-last is called "Tales of the Batman Marv Wolfman Vol.1" so i don't know if they will continue or not. P.s. there are in total 3 Tales of the Batman for Gerry Conway, there are supposed to be others or that's all?

This looks like a nice book, but I think this will be a pass for me as I upgraded to the Hush deluxe just a couple of years ago and I already have the rest collected in other volumes. I find this a lot with Batman omnis, by the time DC releases the Omni, I already have all the material in other collected editions and I can rarely justify double-dipping.

Long Halloween is better. Hush was very good

Dino’s book. Unless you love Hush.

Just a real page turner and on point and everything feels self contained that was my issue with the Peter tomasi omnibus rather then the storyline it was everything he's done piled into one book and there's a lot of them that make no sense and hard reading but hush saga is what I expect from a DC omnibus a page turner with a deep story with the background to it rather than an eh what's going on

Oh if it was me. I’d go for stories over character. Get the Paul Dini omnibus and the Hush 15th anniversary dlx Hc.

I've been wanting to read Batman Hush due to how many people have said online how good it is. I originally was going to buy the 20th anniversary edition, but I didn't like how it was just a standard hardcover not oversized. Should I get this omni instead? Are the other stories here worth it? And no, I don't have the Paul Dini omni so no double dipping there.

I kinda regret preordering this. Normally don’t multi-dip on things too much.

I’ve gotten away from pre-ordering anymore. Too many times being burned by questionable products. The nightmare mapped Flashpoint Omni was the final straw. I’d rather watch the reviews first and then buy.

Brilliant omnibus but the spines terrible... in my humble opinion

DC reprints the same dozen or more omnis over and over, yet the batman and superman stories from the seventies just sit in limbo.

Easily the most overrated Bstman story ever written.

What an awful art design for an omnibus, at least for me looks really bad.
