For some reason, I just love it when the first boss is also the final boss! Considering that the Joker is Batman's archenemy, I think it's strange that he had such a small role in the Genesis game.

It's likely because the Genesis game was based on Batman and Robin, the one with Mr Freeze as the main antagonist.

In a few words: They clearly paid the artists more than the programmers.

I agree. I like to see Genesis version more. Surprisingly Batman is in like six or seven super Nintendo games! Batman returns Batman and robin the justice league

While this game is more accurate to the show, it seems to me that the Genesis version had more interesting, creative bosses.

I could never beat that fucking Riddler level with the chess pieces, always falling to my death as he shot the lasers out of his hands. ARRRGGGHHH!!!

If I'm not mistaken, Joker actually has several phases before the one in this video, including a full-on miniboss fight against a big robot All of it together makes him into a really wild first boss, although even just this bit already impresses me with its visuals!

The first Joker fight looks very easy. You just have to hit him when he lands. The second also isn’t hard,but it takes very long.

This game spent most of my childhood time.

Yeah, they should've put him in the final stage boss gauntlet instead of Catwoman. I thought she was kind of out of place there.

Been MANY years so I played this game - totally forgot how amazing the music is. I know Konami always has great composers but this game is criminally underrated. I LOVE the bass notes in the second boss fight against the plant.

I think you’re missing the Two Face boss fight in the car!

The animation in this game is absolutely beautiful. However, the Genesis version is just so unique and fun, while this one is so slow paced. I like both games, but I gotta give it to the Genesis version. Hard as nails, but a very fun and technically impressive game! Also the Genesis version is reasonably priced, while the SNES version is just way too much for what is offered.

I had this game! But sadly it was broken & freezes everytime I get to the part where I had to fight The Riddler's giant chess pieces - so I never got to see the ending. T_T Lousy Nintendo cartridges. Thank you for sharing this!

Notice how the player takes zero damage on the bosses? That would never happen to a new player, it would take 2 dozen tries for people to do that, not to mention you only get 3 continues in the game.

I always assumed this one would be more fun the the genesis version, since the graphics were better and closer to the shows design. But this looks pretty dull compared to the genesis one.

That was most people lol, I only ended up beating it when I played it again at 31 Lol. And it was still fucking difficult but one of the most rewarding game completions ever

I also find the bosses patterns repetitive and the AI very dumb. I also don’t think they have very many frames of animation they’re kind of stiff like when you hit the man bath it’s so robotic

If you've never played it you wouldn't understand. The damage in this game is high so If you screw up even a bit you end up losing. thereIn lies the difficulty. I guarantee you couldnt beat that boss if you tried.

Lol the Sega version is like a weird contra ripoff with better music. This is exactly like scenes from the amazing show

The bits of dialogue before each fight are so weak, I think the game would be better off if they just jumped right in. Also, they didn't really think through the Riddler's gestures, did they?
