Idk, for me as Jason, Batman is just weak. Bruce has a filtered/PG idea of how the world should operate that he forgets, and choices create consequences. How many times has Batman chosen to spare the Joker and then compare that to the amount of people the Joker has killed? Makes you think you may and/or choose to side with Jason Todd over Bruce Wayne 6 out of 7 days a week. Just remember most of us are a paycheck or 2 lost checks away from being homeless and relating to the Joker than we will ever be the next 100 years to relating to the Batman.

Jason as a Batman antagonist just works so well bc he’s not the direct opposite of batman or tries to make him suffer/make his life worse, he’s doing his version of justice and is a version of Batman if he broke. He’s sane, he’s methodical and he’s ruling by fear as well. You empathize with him and even his methods sometimes. He’s a direct challenge to Batman’s ideology because of what the ideology did to him and so many others. I like Red Hood Batfam and Outlaw versions but Crime Lord version is so much better

It's just bad writing unless you're willing to admit that Batman is the worst hero in comic history. There are also people like Flash and Superman who could clean up the city on their lunch break if Batman wasn't more concerned about punching away his feelings on the mentally ill and petty criminals. Batman has been the worst part of his own stories for a long time now which is why they created Damien.

The biggest thing that bothers me about DC is that basically all of the characters see no middle ground between never using lethal force ever under any circumstances, and taking out anybody who so much as gives them a sideways look, villain or hero. If I was in this universe with powers, I’d have a rule, and it would be very public and explicit. First time I face a villain, I use kid gloves (unless they’ve unalived civilians). Second time I face the same villain, I’m breaking their limbs and putting them in the hospital. Third time and beyond I face the same villain, I’m not even trying to take them in alive unless they peacefully surrender. I get that the meta reason the villains always get out of jail is so more stories can take place, but in-universe, the JLA has no concept of the legal system in the world they live in, or how to ensure the crime they stop stays stopped. The fact that Bruce Wayne has never (seemingly) even considered paying to have a meta criminal detention facility built shows he doesn’t really care about the people of Gotham. His actions, over decades of active work as The Batman, have not helped Gotham crime rates even slightly.

Is like i often say, the common reply to the moronic 'if you kill a killer the number of killers remains the same' is "then i won't stop at one killer". That's equally stupid bc it agrees with the implication behind tthe claim it is responding, that makes it so stupid. The right response is: No, if you kill a wolf that is too dangerous for the sheep to be left alive, you don't turn into another wolf... you become a good shepherd to be trusted. If however, you insist on sparing the wolf no matter how many innocent sheep it kills, you are just as guilty as the raging wolf

Little bit different. Punisher kills because it's his mission. The Punisher lusts for war, he kills the criminals as a byproduct and uses his wife and children's deaths at the hand of crime lords to validate his lust for war and killing criminals. He kills until there is nobody left to kill, in which afterwards, he promises to kill himself to punish himself for the deeds he has done. Red Hood kills to protect the innocent and stop crime through ANY MEANS necessary. He selectively kills those who are morally reprehensible and responsible for mass atrocities. He opts to consolidate crime and regulate it via fear by killing off other crime bosses and merging there crime syndicates while turning them into sources of good.

The question is does Batman view himself as a hero or a vigilante? In any, case Batman morality is flawed, as with any individual morality. Who checks and balance it? But at the same time, Batman need that one rule, because without it, he will break and become and view himself immoral. He works within his own mental limit border, albeit very close. As long as he does that, he view himself as the force of vengeance because vengence, to him, is justice. A knight is with code of honor, but his code is dark, gloom, almost indistinguisable from pure rage, barbarism, chaos, and anarchy. And yet, he understands, he needs one thing that he has to abide to, to be civil, part of humanity. He needs to abide by the only code that matters, he does not kill. Even if it's not the case, he does it to honor his parents. He may do it for the sake of humanity, but he always do it for his parents. He become batman because of his parents' death. That is his source of morality. He breaks it,in his mind, he will become a true animal. A batman without Bruce Wayne.

What I LOVE about this film is that there is never a “shocking reveal” with him being Jason. Arkham Knight was an entirely new persona yet fans knew it was Jason from the day the first early concept art leaked. In this movie Batman is pretty much certain it’s Jason from their first encounter and just examines evidence from every time they face to be 100%. At this point he knows he’s 95% certain he’s speaking to his dead son and just a blood sample a way from proving it and the acting is so phenomenal that you can hear in Jason’s voice how badly he wants to return to his father but can’t because he knows he’s too far gone and that he must prove a point to Batman.

Under normal circumstances, I would 100% back Bruce in that killing criminals isn’t the way to go about it. But this is Gotham. A city with insane, supernatural criminals that has killed probably thousands of innocent people. It’s like comparing someone who committed manslaughter to that of crime lords, terrorists and dictators… at what point to they become irredeemable?

Look all I'm saying is that when Thomas Wayne was Batman he killed all the villains when Jason turned he killed all the villains and in most universes two or three of the bat kids also kill the villains. It seems like Bruce is the only one who doesn't intentionally kill everybody the rest of the bat family says it's game . hell even Alfred pulls out his shotgun with no hesitation 😅😅

Batman doesn’t kill because of his own personal reasons not because it wouldn’t objectively be better for gotham(even he probably thinks it would be)but because he can’t personally deal with his mind once the gate has been opened,so red hood probably is right logically however the likelihood he could maintain his sanity is questionable at best

The fact that Batman didn't even avenge Jason just makes him one of the biggest naive fools ever. Bats fights Joker, puts him in the asylum, Joker escapes, kills or cripples Bat's allies or sidekicks, terrorizes the city, no death penalty is given to Joker, Bats locks him up again, and the cycle continues forever.
