Got my copy of this a couple of weeks ago, and, while it isn't as strong as volume 1, it's still a rewarding read, with stunning artwork. I didn't much care for Last Knight though; it never hooked me and just rambled on. Another great video Omar. Keep 'em coming.

Personally think this peaks with Vol 1 buuuuut I’m so glad this has finally came out for people experiencing it for the first time! Great vid as always, my man. :)

Agree, the back half of the New 52 run is not quite as strong but still entertaining. Love the design of this dust jacket and how well both volumes sit next to each other.

Yeah, me too. After being away from comics for over a decade, Snyder's Batman was the first DC run that I read. It's nice to finally have it in oversized format. I'm looking forward to re-reading it.

Super heavy is one of those bat shit crazy, silver age ideas taken to the utmost extreme that I love. Who Snyder picked to be Batman was spot on and I really loved that arc. Thanks for the overview!

Loved their run on the comic! I'm a little critical of it too... Super heavy should've been an elseworlds story and they gave way too much importance to the Joker, could've developed some new villains or delved deeper into the Court of Owls. Anyway, I bought the Omnibus even though I own all the singles, prefer it to both runs before and after (by Grant Morrison and Tom King respectively).

Can't wait for new Batman Caped Crusader and Dark Knight Detective books to come out.

The collection is finally complete with vol 2 😁

hi, i've just finished the first omni, i wonder if the character shown in the last pages and the story related keeps going in the second volume or is somewhere else

Are the front cover “Batman” titles both the same colour? That’d be strange if they match but they changed the colour on the spine text.

Just started reading/collecting Batman comics. Started off with Year One, Long Halloween, and Killing Joke, which were all incredible. I have Scott Snyder’s Batman Vol. 1-5 on my shelf, which I’m super excited to get into. Already have more on the way, including Man Who Laughs, War Games Book 1 & 2, Dark Knight Returns, and Dark Victory. Hit me with recommendations on what to tackle next in the universe!

I'm also getting into reading the comics for the first time. Got killing Joke already, gonna hold off on long halloween and Dark Victory though until I get the Jeph Loeb Batman Omnibus which has both of them. In terms of art there is basically nothing that beats Batman Noel and Batman Damned, both are illustrated by Lee Bermejo and imo have some of the best comic book art ever they are also both essentially standalone stories and can be read by themselves without needing anything else though Damned is technically a sequel to Joker by Brian Azzarello you don't necessarily HAVE to have it but they are both very good and VERY gritty stories. Another great book that I would highly recommend that has significance in the mainstream canon is Batman: Three Jokers, it comes after the events in the Snyder Capullo Batman run and the Justice League: The Darkside War storyline as events from both are referrenced, it essentially serves as a sequel to The Killing Joke as it builds off of and adds a lot to events in that story.

is there a small misprint on the table of contents? because #39 is listed twice while #45 is not

So glad my fav Bat run is finally complete in omni format. Hey Omar what's your personal favorite story arc within this run? Mine is Court of Owls with Zero Year being close second.

For me it’s Court of Owls also. Added enough to the Bat mythos without being forced and fitting in mostly well. An early peak but the rest of the run is solid too of course

It's hard to imagine anyone's favorite story arc not being Court of Owls. (Stephen the Shy Warrior notwithstanding lol) The entire run is high quality, but Court is widely regarded as one of the best arcs in Batman history, and rightly so.

My favorite arc is endgame for sure, that's the deadliest I've seen joker.

I just put in an order for Vols 1 and 2. Now the hard parts come.. 1) waiting for that email saying my order has shipped, and 2) deciding who's going to inherit my tpbs & LKOE hc.

I wish The Black Mirror story could of made it maybe in vol 1 or somewhere in this one

I have all 10 volumes in trades and hardcovers except volume 8 which is super heavy i didnt like what they did with Batman but im willing to give it a chance is it any good?

I heard that Vol 1 binding was terrible, and was hoping for a comparison to Vol 2 binding.

Interested in this as I never read these stories but it kind of looks like it's not Capullo's art across the majority of the volume? Is that the case?

When reading as they were releasing,endgame seemed much superior because there were talks of new 52 coming to an end and maybe this could be something,but really endgame was diluted in its potential by superheavy

Is this the last one or are they going to release Volume 3?

This looks prolifically cinematic; could this be my definitive Batman run? Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? holds the top spot for me.

Finally finished this run yesterday. It was my first time reading anything Batman and aside the court of owls and the joker end game I really did not like this run. I’m hoping other Batman stuff isn’t such a pain to read I really want to like Batman.

I got mine from Organic Priced Books.

Walt's might be cheapest Omnibus in the EU but definitely not Europe after comparing to my supplier.

What would a Batman by Snyder Companion Omni collect?

I have Vol. 1 which I loved, so personally, I do not “have that much power” to resist this Omni, and despite my best efforts to make excuses for myself to not get it, I ended up ordering it on Day 1🤷🏽‍♂️

I've had this preordered since July. So excited to finally get it! Hope a Tom King omnibus series is coming soon.

Again I dont agree on the order DC puts some of the issues; I think DC#27 would have gone better after FE instead of beforethe and both should have been placed after #52 and before Last Knight, that way the 5 years after note is more believable and the link between Endgame, DC27, FE and Last Knight is better integrated.

I like Batman bold and obscenely large on my omnibus spines. So when anyone walks into the room they know I love batman

So vol 1 amd 2 plus eternal completes the whole run?

I’m finally reading this. And I gotta say, while the Snyder stuff is still fairly enjoyable, the backup stories by Tynion are just a slogfest. I have to basically hate read my way through them, they’re completely disjointed and take me right out of it. Even has to stop for six months and restart. Maybe if they’d been collected altogether they’d be better but blech.

I have read it in single issues. I have vol.1 omnibus and it is great. For Me this is last good moment of Batman as detective and human being. Later? For Me Snyder and DC made stupid move of making Batman more than human being in Metal etc. 😢
