My take about the ending of this game is Batman started to fight the crime with fear toxin weaponry. He somehow finds a way to ejeculate fear toxin to crimanls before fights (maybe with poisoned batarangs) and then taking them down. It is like a ghost of the Batman in a way a myth a darker ''thing'' than Batman itself just like he said to Selina.

Your take on the ending is pretty much a fact at this point. The Suicide Squad game pretty much confirms that Batman was doing this after the knightfall protocol and continued to do it until he meant the Justice League

This isn’t the “alternate ending” this is the true ending you get when you beat 100% of the game before doing the last mission

Ending meaning: Batman faked his death, is using the fear toxin now. In the dlc, they call him the ghost

It's the opposite of the Nolan trilogy. Here, Bruce Wayne dies* so batman could live whereas in the movie batman dies so Bruce Wayne could live.

I like how ambiguous this ending is as the moment Batman can overcome Scarecrow's fear toxin with the whole world knowing his identity; I believe that was when Bruce understood that Gotham needed a new kind of defender to protect it. The moment Bruce destroyed the Bat Signal and Wayne Manor was the moment Bruce Wayne died, and Batman was reborn. Now, Batman is the only identity that exists, and now, without his Bruce Wayne persona, he can be Batman 24/7. He uses Scarecrow's Fear Toxin on criminals to become more than a vigilante, and he has become a legend. Since you guys are done with the Arkham-verse, I'd love for you to check out the *Batman Telltale games* , which are some of the most underrated Batman games. They really change things up and really make you appreciate how fascinating Batman is as a character. They also really explore his life as Bruce Wayne and how players are given the choice to decide how they live both lives while doing its own thing and taking risks with many characters in interesting and unique ways.

I think it does have to be said, it's pretty cool that you went back to react to the actual ending AND to some of the dlc for the game. It's not something I was expecting, so shout outs to you for that. 🤜🤛

In the robin & catwoman dlc episodes ,there were some thug conversations (easy to miss) about this "Demon Bat" : 1. Hey ,where's johnny? Ghost got him few days back down by the docks for god's sake ,guys I'm sick of hearing about this ghost. There ain't no ghost ,ok? 2. Batman's gone ,Who's after us? What if it's a ghost? What if ,it's BATMAN's ghost? Oh ,God! Y'all can see it for yourselves in the easter eggs videos in the same "Batman arkham videos" channel.

Batman ups the ante by faking his death and instead of relying on theatricality and deception to instill fear in criminals, he borrows a page from Scarecrow's tactics by using the fear toxin to instill terror.

You need to give criminals something to fear. That whole experience with Scarecrow just gave Batman the idea to use the weapon of one of his enemies.

@@MarQZBoss95 The new toxin works more in the sense that its manipulating what you see and turns it into something scary as you can see in the opening sequence of the game. The other guests turn into zombies. And keep in mind that a lot of criminals are afraid of Batman already. "That look dont scare us no more" because they think hes dead. Not because they wouldnt be afraid if they saw him. If we assume that these thugs were afraid of Batman, it would make sense that the fear toxin would turn "The Ghost" into a bat demon.

You’re right that the toxin would have had to have something added that’s not real to get a specific hallucination that everyone sees, but it’s entirely possible to forcibly induce fear in a person through some sort of drug.

Batman Arkham Videos is just the best, it really makes you feel like watching a movie.

45:25 that's how a criminal sees batman when they're effected by fear gas... Because batman is their nightmare... Now when bruce wayne and batman are dead,,, he as an unknown ghost, is using the fear gas to keep the criminals in their nightmares and superstitions under control...

If you watch/react to the Gotham Tv series, which sadly did not capture your attention that much back then, then it has some of the greatest castings for nearly all the villains..its a feast in that segment alone.

Honestly didn't think you'd cover this, but besides most of the side content, audio tapes and maybe the death scenes, you got most story driven content in Arkham Knight. Knightfall Protocol just has Batman becoming a specter, and weaponizing Scarecrow's fear toxin. Now Nightwing, Robin, Oracle, and Jason as Red Hood are gonna protect Gotham and Bludhaven.

Alright, we got a peak at the side missions, mostly for Bruce to have one last conversation with Dick and Celina. And as for the Knightfall protocol itself, since Everyone now knows Bruce Wayne is Batman, the veil is lifted and Batman is less scary to the criminals of Gotham so he had to Fake his death and now has to become something more to protect Gotham and to do that he now uses Scarecrow's fear toxic. And also the way I see the nightmare sequences, when Bruce is first injected he becomes Joker, his greatest fear, and then when he's injected again as Joker he experiences his greatest fear and then Batman takes over, and the final injection has no effect because Bruce is gone, there is only Batman

The fact that they expect us to believe that all of the events of these Arkham games takes place over the course of one night is insane

I shouldn't tell you this, but the Batman Arkham Videos KZread channel has Easter Eggs videos on Knight and City that delve into the lore and the previous games. It also acknowledges Arkham Origins like Deathstroke bringing up the fight on Penguin's ship with him.

@11:13 Did you notice the letters on the gate read: "Arkham a Slum" ? That's what Scarecrow wanted. Turn the city to a slum filled with fear.

Nice to know you finally got to see the true ending. We had to wait ‘nine years’ to finally get an explanation to that cliffhanger of a finale in the recent Suicide Squad game, and it was incredibly unsatisfying. The answer to that mystery was little more than a slide show in a cash grab, live-service game. Poe Dameron might as well have walked out and said, “Somehow the Batman has returned.”

That is Red Hood aka Jason Todd. He was the Arkham Knight.

Bludhaven I believe is 60 miles south of Gotham, far enough away for Nightwing to enjoy his own adventures but close enough that he can head to Gotham to help the Bat family when they need it.

It's an entirely separate DC universe from the Arkham games (though Batman is also voiced by Conroy) and is an education in more than just Batman, but rather an elseworld DC story.
