This really pointed out how close the switch version is. I view it like they carried over the "core" graphics of the game. It's got what made Arkham knight look so good and that's all you could ask for in a switch port of such good looking game.

Fps aside, the game does look decent, people saying that arkham knight switch is the worst port on switch, they're clearly forgetting Mortal Kombat 1. I do hope that it gets better via patches, like how witcher 3 got better via its patches.

People are so overly dramatic when it comes to Switch ports that it's kind of funny. It's mind blowing that even with the console being almost 7 years old, people are still shocked that it doesn't look exactly as good as other versions of the same game lol. But yea in modern times, games always get fixed up pretty substantially post launch with updates. I doubt Arkham Knight will be an exception to that rule. MK1 was pretty rough at launch but they dropped the big update 3 weeks later and now MK1 on Switch doesn't have any bugs. I have both PC and Switch versions of it and I prefer to play the Switch port all day.

The more ways you can play Batman the better...

I actually like how Gotham is a bit darker, I always thought it was a little too bright on consoles/PC

Yea I thought the pc was a bit too bright as well. In fact, in the footage here, I have the brightness turned down 1 or 2 levels on the pc version to try and make it match the switch version lol

Dock: is sub 900p, handheld is 540p

Once the battinson suit comes out on the other platforms ain’t nobody playing Knight on switch.

You feel like people only bought it on Switch for that suit?

PC version runs at over 60 FPS on a PC Handheld like Legion Go.

Do not play this game on switch if it’s your first time. For everyone else, I don’t need to tell you not to play it on switch. And this from a guy who gives the switch console more credit than most.

Arkham knight switch made me play very far back into the game when I progressed a lot. Don’t buy

That's unfortunate and I know that sucks. Hopefully it doesnt happen to you again. However, that sounds more like a user mistake or an uncommon bug that happens on all platforms. I put in dozens of hours capturing my footage and never ran across that problem.

Why even bother? It looks awful, performs terribly. Switch just cannot handle these types of games-- that's a fact. "Bu- but it doesn't look as bad as MK1!"... so?

No. If you still don't expect the Switch version to be scaled back from other versions after almost 7 years of the console being out.....then idk what to tell you. Most people couldn't care less if it looks a little worse anyways. Bc they can play it wherever they want and on the platform they prefer. It's hilarious to see people so bothered by others continuing to buy Switch ports of 3rd party games 🤣

@@indominus_B I personally think this game (as well as many others) should never have been released on this console. As you said yourself, it's an almost 7 years old console, plus it's handheld. It literally cannot handle the game without some drastic scale back, and even then it's not enough. And I don't care, you can play whatever you want. If you think it's Ok for you-- fine. Who am I to judge anyone.

I bother because it’s my only way to play the Arkham games. I dont have the money to buy a PlayStation or Xbox and there’s no way I can afford a pc that can run anything more demanding than google. And honestly it’s not too bad. It’s a great way to play these games and I really enjoy them on the switch, and since the latest patch the performance has improved so much.
