Seasoned Oak Slab transformation into a counter worktop for an en-suite bathroom.
The hardest part of this job was carrying the slab the 50 metres from the workshop to the bathroom numerous times while initially sizing to fit within the tiles. Didn’t want to remove to much material in one go. It was well worth the effort in the end.
I sanded the oak with 240 grit, vacuuming, blowing of with an airline, cleaning with thinners and applying three coats of Osmo finishing oil (Osmo is very hard wearing and very resistant to water marking) which I applied with a small foam roller.
