Bathroom fan leak in winter (poor attic ventilation?)

I think it could be caused by vent seal has failed at the roof. Need to ask a roofer to seal the vent pipe where it pokes through the shingles. The seal breaks down over time, and it's time to re-do it.)
We had -30 degree cold weather for a whole week, and then a strong Chinook hit Calgary, temperature warmed up to above zero within 48 hours.
All the condensation in the attic is finding its way to comedown, and vent opening become a drain hole for the attic. Luckily, we don't have such big temperature swing on regular basis.
The lesson learned here is trying not to over humidify your house when it's very cold outside.

You need proper air sealing. If you have a vapor barrier in your attic, tie the vent into this vapor barrier. You have a big gap between the drywall and the box fan, when cold and warm air mix together, you get condensation.
Ohhhh there is just little bit water leak just 1 drop I have seen on the fun how it comes I don't know?
You need to vent your attic. Put mushroom vent.
Isn't the issue caused by attic not ventilated properly? Condensation is builsing up in the attic.

I have this... except I get about 100x more water drips than that. the bucket will fill up in about 20 min.

I have not dealt with it, but I have narrowed the usage to 2 possibilities. One is my washroom vent tube is broken inside the attic, so I pushed warm air into the cold attic when I turn on the fan, and condensation built up in attic. Another possibility is Mt attic not vemted property, so condensation is collecting inside attic.

It has not been any dripping this winter. It only happens when we have a huge temperature swing, like a warm jet stream hits Calgary and temperature jumps 25 degrees overnight. I think my attic vents okay, but the fan might still partially vent into the attic.

This is very very bad for your attic if its not fixed immediately! This been pending for 2 years and you didnt fix it yet 🤣 you shouldnt see ice formation on the roof plywood at all anytime through winter! install rafter vents for better intake nstall a whylbird or maximum 301 vent for better exaust and make sure or bathroom vent isnt leaking to ur attic
