Canoeing and Kayaking portions of Basswood falls in the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota in the summer of 2018. For all my fellow Boundary Waters people who have looked at those rapids and wondered... it is possible to paddle all the way from Basswood lake to the Horse river in a canoe! Of course all of the rapids require careful consideration before jumping in, especially due to the remoteness.
