I use GL rod tips as the toothpick for my high-end punch rigs. I dont have time to carry rubber bands and toothpicks. GL rods are nice and easy to break off and thin enough to push through the tungsten weight for that perfect fit. Plus, fish know quality components when they see one...meaning more bites!😅

Love these tackle tinker videos. Do you know of any tricks to add 1/4 to 3/8oz lead weights to a spinnerbait, bladed jig, buzzbait?

Yeah you can opoxy clam weights onto them. You can bend them open and hammer them into any shape. Squeeze them over the bait keeper spot

I use the target brand ones that girls use for their hair. It’s like $3 bucks for a big pack

I’m an O’le MoJo …toothpicker ….from the late 90’s. 😎. Turned bobber stopper user …… I was going to ask the bead question myself but I finished watching till the end before sending….. but my bead question was ?? Do you think that a bead takes away from the streamlineness of the bait due to that 1/4” gap of the bead --

@@InformativeFisherman I know very little about punching ….but what I’ve watched seams like when you get bit it’s fairly quick ?.. not knowing much about punching my thoughts were maybe the lil click of a bead will attract um … but now looking back I was wasting time click’n dry holes 🕳️. /e Dan is going to delete Da Bead thingy 😎

Hey Nick, what stix rod would you recommend for Carolina rigs? I'm normally throwing 1/2 to 1 oz tungsten.
