Bass Fishing the Jetties at East Harbor with a Tadpole?

Stop number 3 of the year brings us up to the incredible fishery. The East and West harbors on Lake Erie have become one of my favorite places to fish. The Largemouth Fishing is great and offers plenty of opportunity to the kayak anglers as the harbors tend to be somewhat of a controlled environment. The Nikko Baits tadpole was getting crushed all day long being slowly dragged across the boulders.
I went out of my comfort zone this time around and fished rocks on the jetties that led out to Lake Erie. I had an absolute blast and cannot wait to go back!

Lake Erie is a fantastic fishery. I was surpised to see most of your catches were largemouths. I was also suprised by the jet skier at 7:07!

I swear we are almost invisible out there. I wear super bright colors and Highlighter orange on my kayak.
That's tough fishing buddy but you did pretty well and stayed dry. Bonus channel kitty was fun to break up the cookie cutters. Ride the wave brother. Blessings

Awesome video! I usually stay in harbor. flippin grass and digging for bass. Went over to Middle Harbor, picked up a 17 1/2 till it flew off the board in mid photo. That was back in May for fun/ online tournament. Seems Black/blue wacky senkos and jigs does the trick.

I haven’t gotten Incredibly confident fishing thick grass yet! The fishing there is awesome in may. The vegetation hasn’t gotten too thick

@thecreekcrawler Once the grass gets thinner in the middle, there's game trails under water. If you intersect them , the bass will nail the jig. I'm in paddle kayak ( same as bookmans old ride). I try to drift and use the current as an advantage. I'm no expert at all, just a big fan of Ohio fishing channels like yours.

It was crazy man. To be fair though most boaters were courteous.
So I'm new to baitcasters I'm having issues with getting a good hook set, any tips? I use braid with a mono leader

Make sure you backed your braid on the baitcaster with a piece of tape or tied on a few yards of mono.
