Bass Fishing in Cold, December Water - W Central MO

In this 8 December 2023 excursion to an MDC pond in Henry County, MO, some decent bass were caught on a Z-Man Curly Tail StreakZ and a Big TRD. The drought conditions in the pond are very serious but a few fish have obviously survived and will hopefully make it to next spring.
Rudie (Romeo) Tootie and Leila entertain their fans with another smooch festival.
Sparky was encouraged to cheer up, as always.

Thanks, Bill, much appreciated. I know you have to deal with changing water levels, currents and icebergs 😅 in your quests for those river monsters you catch. This drought has gone on too long now and I sure hope it ends and things get back to normal. In the meantime I'm still trying to figure out where to go if the opportunity arises... that isn't 300 Miles away. Merry Christmas, Don
Amazing Don how low the water level is and beautiful bass still in the e pond!. You caught some beauties today and know you had a great time! Sure hope for a lot of moisture over the winter to help out the ponds for next season. Great show! RTR😘

Thanks Sis, and an excellent summary of the outing. I looked back at numerous Ironwood excursions over the years and was saddened to see how this fishery has devolved from fantastic to blah. I had a couple of bluegill yanks on my lures so hopefully there's enough food for the remaining fish. Hopefully other gems like DD4 will make it ok this year too. Xxxxxoo RTR Don
