Bass Fishing Gear Review! The Best Rods, Reels, and Baits For Summer Bass Fishing!

Спорт

These are the HOTTEST new baits and gear to hit the bass fishing scene this Summer! After countless hours of testing, we've found the best new gear of the year! We've got rods and reels from Megabass, Shimano, Daiwa, and Abu Garcia. We've got baits and hooks from Duo Realis, Great Lakes Finesse, Netbait, and Owner! We've even got tackle storage and functional apparel! Let's go!!
This buyer's guide is all about quality bass fishing gear! We've got a strong focus on finesse, though the Megabass Destroyer LT doesn't fit that mold. Whether you're looking for a new rod or reel, a bait that will get bit when others won't, or a better way to store tackle, we've got you covered! These review allow our inner tackle junkies to run wild, but they also offer a unique look into the constant refinements this industry is making to stay ahead of heavily pressured fish and changing conditions.
Below you'll find links to all of the gear in the video. We've listed it in the order it appears so it's easy for you to find, and included any rigging or upgrade components you need to fish them effectively. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Your father gave you a passion! Get out there and give it your all when you go! he’d be so damn proud. I just sold the boat my father gave me and it absolutely killed me. But it was to upgrade to a skeeter zx200. I know he’d be very happy. I am truly, very sorry for your loss my friend.

I love how the Tatula and even the cheaper Daiwa AirD x have that same braiding technology in the blank. I own multiple in casting and spinning and even my MedLT 7’0 Tatula XT-$100… has more strength and sensitivity than some more expensive Abu Garcia and St croixs that I own. The Tatula XT needs to be talked about- with a Daiwa Regal 2500D-XH B (the new one) (also the original is phenomenal) under $200 COMBO and my favorite rod by FAR

The casino has a more parabolic bend than the Balck Jack. I actually use the Casino for big treble hook baits like the Megabass Big M7.5 and so on. Plus it’s a little shorter than the Black Jack. The Black Jacks rating is way off! It easily handles glide baits up to 7oz no problem!! There similar but the blackjack has more of fast action but it does bend well into the blank also not a broom stick by any means!

With BFS growing so much I wish we could get a rod series like the “Zero Gravity” rods from Mitchell. I know even on the spinning versions you could throw anything from1/64 oz to 1/2 baits in the same rod due to the super thing tip that would load. I also with we had these for the ability to see super light bites because that SUL tip would load as easily as a human hair.

I just bought a Diawa Tatula BFS 70 and put it one an Orochi X10 and it was immediately my favorite set up. Just got back from Ontario and I probably boated 200 smallmouth over the week along with a 31” walleye and a surprise 38” pike on the 2000 size. I was really surprised with how well it fished, the drag was really impressive to me on those bigger fish cuz I was using 6lb fluro leaders. Also got a 4000 size for my dad for pike fishing cuz he doesn’t know how to use a bait caster, and he had no issues. You guys should give one a try, I’d love to hear what you think. You can add a minute amount of weight easily, I use Storm suspend strips and trim them down to slivers to help balance my 110’s to perfectly suspend at different water temps( and I mean perfect, mine will sit at the same depth for over a minute). You can always use a heavier gauge wire hook or even larger size of split ring to finely balance jerkbaits without adding stock on weights.

I always cover up from the sun. However I can’t find a gaiter that comfortably fits around my fat neck. Any suggestions?

Have you ever considered the AFTCO Jason Christy shirts? My neck isn't huge, but it's far from small, and I can't stand a tight thing around my neck, especially when it's hot. That Jason Christy shirt works as a shirt and gaitor, but Jason said he couldn't stand the feel of a gaitor so he had em design his shirt. It's a great option. And the zip in the front loosens the shirt alot if you're not worried about sun. It also has a catch on the hood, for the bill of your hat. It keeps the hood in place when you're up on pad runnin across the lake. Saw your comment and figured it might be a really good option for ya.

He use to use that megabass Orochi and likes the levante better in my opinion if you like daiwa and want to save some more coin I compared the levanter with the Daiwa Tatula 7' medium reaction rod (not the glass one) and it has a very close action as the levanter and it's the same lure rating also have a full cork handle that awsome for reaction techniques

@@SubZero-pi4jrI have the madbull. It’s definitely not made for 1/4 ounce, you’re right on with that rating. It was made for deep cranking, which it doesn’t really do either. At least not 20 foot cranking with bigger baits. It’s exactly what you said, a 1/2 ounce to 1 ounce junk fishing rod.
