The TI acousticore strings (developed with Rick Turner's assistance) sound much better on this instrument than these tapewounds. Rolling off the tone knob a bit would help but this makes an amazing instrument sound like a cheap acoustic / electric.

Ric’s fretless models come w TI jazz flats I believe. The fretted models come with acousticores which are round sound and might eat a fretless fingerboard .

Great sound don't like the squeaky strings though. Would like to try this with some GHS Pressurewounds.

I didn't hear squeak, I heard string slap on the neck. Its fretless lose the dots and lines, that's half the point is replication of an upright and I've never seen dots and lines. But I'm impressed with the unique body, nice outside the box thinking.

Point of what? The "point" depends entirely on the user's goals and desires. It's fine just as it is, with the lines and dots.

Yup, take away the lines and dots and play out of tune like so many fretless and upright players do.
