Stop saying acquitted!! "We the jury, find the defendant Terrance Shannon Jr, NOT GUILTY!!" NOT. GUILTY!

The acusers should absolutely go to jail. This happens a lot more than people realize.

It absolutely MEANS he didn't do it. This was not a technicality. He wasn't even near the girl - an 18 year old in a bar, by the way. The prosecution knew he wasn't guilty but needed a win for political reason. Douglas Co, KS corrupt af.

An 18 year old with a fake ID. Who then went back to the same bar the next night. Now, I might be in the minority, but I’m thinking something actually happened to her. But if that is the case it’s obvious that it wasn’t him. And, if you’re going to falsely accusing people, then yes she needs to go away for a while. I think she should have to spend the same amount of time away that he would have had to if convicted.

@@josephwalker5577my thing was I was giving the girl the benefit of the doubt that something actually happened to her, she just got the wrong guy here. But those text messages with the money signs was a blaring sign that this was an intention frame job. Something still could have happened, but to me, she saw who TSJ was and was looking for a paycheck

Hey dummy! There was video evidence of that night and witnesses, that totally refuted the allegations of the females. The prosecution still wanted to proceed with trial! He should have never been arrested in the first place, let alone go to trial.

This woman should serve time

File a lawsuit against the woman who lied on him so she won't be tempted to do it again!

They are certain American mothers who are raising their daughter and teaching them how to make false allegations. This is not something that is random. Young women are taught this with the idea their will be a financial benefit for them. It is disgusting and people need to be held accountable.

The case should have been dismissed before it ever went to trial. The defense artorney called the detective "lazy snd incompetent". I hope TSJ sues the shit out of the DA and the Lawrence PD. They did their best to ruin the young mans life. For being educated, the two assistant DAs looked completely stupid throughout the entire trial. Their degrees arent worth the paper they are written on.

Reciprocity of Punishment for False Accusations should be a fundamental in the US, as it is in other Countries.

He was found NOT GUIlTY according to the official Verdict. What these guys are thinking of is the technical distinction between not guilty( acquitted) and “found innocent” But this man was found as innocent as he could be based on the detials provided. The jury knew he didn’t do what the said he did. It was clear as day. They had literally NO evidence. The local authorities were sort of pressed on why they didn’t ask for more information from the girls friends and TSJs company during that trip, as well as other witnesses, and they spewed some bullsit like “we choose to beleive women.” Ya right . If this was a local kanas white star athelte and a black women? I don’t even want to say..

This was brutal for him. I live here in Champaign. The away game fans were absolutely ruthless, making him guilty. Shannon didn’t even know who this person was. He did nothing.

There is another Kansas basketball player Arterio Morris last year was accused of rape in Lawrence. He was kicked off the team. The charges were dropped not enough evidence. There is a real problem with these rape accusations. I personally think the accusers should be charged with something.

He can actually file charges against the girl but most people don’t know you can do that.

This is the same thing that happened to Emmitt Till and so many other college dudes. Arterio Morris is without a team right now because of this

@@flrbase It's not going to happen. There was no evidence. It only took the jury 90 minutes to deliberate. Everyone is moving on.

Who's his father? He attended Piston training camp. Yes it is. It is all about the schools and what they belong to.

I go to Kansas, this should have NEVER been prosecuted. The girl is an absolute mess and should have never been taken at her word.
