@T Maradona played in Napoli a team that was fighting not docend to the Serie B. Maradona provided counsil to the president of Napoli to buy two Brazilian players Alemao and Careca, hence, making Napoli a more competitive team. Therefore, rasing the flag of the South Of Italy. He also made Napoli a force to be recon with. The Strong Northern Teams like Juventus, Milan, and Inter de Milan had to contend with difficult and tough team from Southern Italy Napoli. Maradona lead a revolution in the Italian Football league making the Stronger Northern team more diffucult. Maradona's Napoli won 2 Italian Championships, 1 Italy's super cup, and 1 UEFA cup. IN OTHER WORDS MARADONA PUT NAPOLI (NAPLES) ON THE MAP!!! that is why he is worship in Napoli.

There isn't words to describe Diego Armando Maradona 💙 the one and only no one had and has his skills , carisma , leadership, no one come close to that and all done on pitch that was disasters...to the young generation that didn't see the quality of the pitch were he produced those magical moments I suggest to go back and watch closer to have better understanding...Me growing up in Naples I had the luck to live the era of Maradona and believe me it was such magical time that I can't stop crying writing those words .... gracias Diego 💙

Maradona is my favorite player of all time. Sadly I was born in 2005, so I never had the chance to see him play live but I still love him. He was one of the main reasons why I started loving football as much as I do now. I never was a Ronaldo or Messi guy like most fans my age, for me no player comes close to Diego. There always was something about him that no other player had, he was truly magical.

Ibrahim, I subscribed to your channel solely based on your respect for Maradona and the way you reacted to the video showing Maradona’s skills, which reminds me of my reaction every time I watch similar videos of Maradona. Maradona was “Maradona (GOAT)” from childhood up until the latter part of the 80s then unfortunately his drug addiction and other issues got the better of him. While he was at Napoli he was using drugs and also not maintaining a healthy lifestyle yet he achieved so much. During Maradona’s time (pre 90s) referees did not protect players and Maradona was fouled extremely bad (almost criminal abuse), the pitches were terrible, and all other facets of the beautiful game were not like they are now. I would like to see Messi or Ronaldo (Portugal) join a team at the bottom of the Italian league, as Maradona did in 1984 with Napoli, and pretty much win the league multiple times, as Maradona did. Messi and Ronaldo will win more medals because they will be playing the game longer because their bodies hold-up better due to the protection referees afford them and because of their healthy lifestyles. Put Messi or a Ronaldo in a team at the bottom of the Italian league, have the opposition foul the hell out of them, play games on terrible pitches, pump them with cocaine and have them play games with little sleep then let us see how good they are. Nobody, even Pele, compares to Maradona. Lastly, did I mention Maradona won the World Cup in 1986 with a pretty average Argentine team? Both Messi and Ronaldo failed to win the World Cup for their countries.

Really incredible video matigol made. Important to note how football was so much harder and brutal back in the 80s. I can't remember who said it but a famous footballer said Messi has to dribble past defenders, Maradona had to jump over them. Greatest of all time.

Messi....when you look closely you see Maradona regularly went from well on his own half an just outplayed a whole team. He had much better skills, much better control, vision and remember he played on pisspoor pitches against defender that could do whatever they liked...There is no comparison to him. Played in a mediocre team in the best compettition in the world (Italy) with especially the best defenders...and he simply won. In a class of hisown since the video is only a very tiny fraction of what he has done over the years.

Messi has been great, but he has been great in the best teams of his era and playing with some of the best players of his era. No one had the context of Diego ... no one ... all the other greats in soccer history played for the best teams of their eras with several of the best teammates and national teams of their time. Diego was the best of all!

Sometimes the pitches were terrible during Diego's era, two of English player recalled the Aztec Stadium in Mexico was awful, but he still scored that "Goal of the Century". I should also add that in Maradona’s time Defenders could get away with career ending assaults on players with no red card in sight. Maradona had his leg broken in 1983 in Spain. Moreover, he carried Argentina National teams from 1986 to 1994 world cups. He always done it in this way: “Today we’re going to win and your guys(his teammates) are gonna give me the ball and I’m going to do the job and I don’t care what else is happening around us and if the world doesn’t want us to win. We’re going to win and I’m gonna to be at the forefront of that”. That’s why whatever he had become later in his life, we still love his genius.

But Maradona played in horrible pitches and in an era where you could tackle him to the throat without fear of being sent off. Messi has all the protection in the world and doesn't have to bother with entire teams trying to murder him. Also, Maradona was a much more INEFFICIENT player. He was much MORE human than Messi in the sense that he played with tons of emotion. Messi is autistic and show no expression. He mostly has a blank face and either smiles to celebrate a goal or get a doom sense of frustration when things go south. He also always makes the right play, the perfect pass, the correct movement. Messi plays perfectly within the system create around him. Maradona is the complete opposite. He WAS THE SYSTEM. He would try to rush players way more often. Risk the passes. Control the entire game and tempo. Abuse his body and assume that he was the boss from begining to end. Diego was a pure 10. A creator of plays. Messi spend most of his life as a finisher of plays and a goal scorer. Their roles are way too different to compare. Finally, Diego emotion and humanity ultimately makes him a better plater when time comes. Messi consistently collapses and shows horrible body language when he is frustrated. Maradona was an inspirational leader. He was used to take charge and use to play outside of the system, abuse it and try the impossible. We all know that the hardest moments in sports attract heroes like Maradona. Messi computational perfection lacks the human component that brings teams around him like Napoli and Argentina gathered around Diego. Ask any one who would they want to play with in a live or die game of football. They would ALL pick Maradona. And that's why one is the goat and the other is not.

These facts are.... -before Maradonas arrival Napoli finished 12th, 1 point ahead of Relegation... -Napoli didnt have budget to buy other player after Maradonas arrival so they counted on young unknown player and played mostly with the same teams as before Maradonas arrival but finished this time with him 8th first season and 3rd second season - Careca Was the first noticable Transfer after Maradonas, but Napoli won already before their first scudetto - Maradona was constantly Topscorer of his team as a midfielder in a much tougher era and League than nowadays -argentinian team consisted of only 5 european player including Maradona. Valdano (Real Madrid), Burruchaga (i think Nantes), Maradona himself from the starting squad and 2 subs. -Other player played all in a mediocre argentinian League at that time. Messis teammates in comparison played 2014 all except 2 player in a topleague in a topteam. - unlike today the teams back then couldnt afford too many top player thats why even small teams as Fiorentina with Baggio could afford one or two topplayer which made the League even more competetive a harder to win than nowadays. Compareable with todays premier League but more brutal and tougher era. Milan Was an exceptation with all their stars. -Maradona was involved in 10 out of 14 argentinian goals and teammates even wasted many chances. - Maradona attracted 86 constantly opponents defender of which his teammates benefited aswell. Thats why he was fouled over 50 times - in the final against Germany Maradona was manmarked by Matthäus and 2 other defenders which allowed Valdano and Burruchaga to move more freely. Still he was able to do the final pass for the winning goal tough there were 3 defenders around him. So yeah, because of all these impacts he deserves all the recognation for his titles he gets and even more. Enough facts for u?

The reason why maradona didn’t win so much titles is simple.’ He never had elite player as playmates he always had 10 ordinary playera wen the rest of teams had super starts also he played in small teams beside boca juniors and Barcelona the rest of teams he played for were ordinary teams.’ Pele messi or cr7 couldn’t never win with the playmates maradona had.’ Maradona was always the motor and the heart of his team he used to help in defenses also he was a playmaker not striker and even tho he was a real true midfielder player he scored more than alot of superstar strikers .’ Maradona was on another level no1 comes close to him

Exactly...he is of another level al together. There can be no argument. Which is why people are so much more excited than when they see any other player. And this s reallya very small piece. The best things are left out here. But we also miss free kicks, we miss the fouls committed on him and how he learned to dodge them (mostly). He was a leader and I would say he made teams play to the best of their ability, while Messi play to the best of his ability in excellent teams. And even so, he ca't come close.
