    so what polyol would you use to make say polystyrene more elastic and rubber like ? i have a problem with polystyrene being rigid and stiff, it cracks and breaks easy.

    Thanks simple and interesting. Question: What is done to the polyether to make it shore hardness A 70 or D 40 for example?

    PU consists of many different polyol building blocks: short-chain, long-chain with different numbers of reactive groups. For example, to change the hardness in a polyether-based PU, the proportions of special polyols, mostly short-chain ones called crosslinkers, are increased or decreased.

    Thanks, ok, now I understand the Poly aspect but not the Urethane? I'm guessing that aspect is the resin, or the total combination is the resin?

    Urethane is the name of the part of the molecule that makes the connections between the single units of the molecule.

    If I want to make my product stain resistant, which can be easily cleaned from PU, which additive shall I use with PU and in what quantity? Please answer urgently
