Teaching a good duck under is the best way to follow up to teaching a good Hi-C and firemans

Wrestling makes you a big problem at bjj tourneys

This isn’t how I was taught the duck under. My coach taught it like when you duck under him and level change when you level change you use his momentum and pull him to the mat and sweep behind him

That's a good way to do a duck under too!

I have issues over coming doubt and fear before I step onto the mat. I practice my takedowns and ground moves over and over and over, yet in matches I freeze and just forget everything. Do you have any tips on how to get past states of mind like that? Btw very good video and explanation of the duck under. Very few coaches will show you the wrong way to do it and the consequences of such. That was a big help in further understanding it. So thanks!

I ask the kids we teach move names. Ex. your on top whistle blows whats your favorite move. "Tight waist ankle pick" He shots "sprawl" hes flat "collect wrist" basically when they can name it as fast as they can answer whats your name ? It seems thi start clicking on the mat. If course you need to drill and wrestle but this seems to help with the going blank. As a coach it helps ne when they wrestle live i know what they call the moves so when we see a move we can just say the moves name.
