as a joke, we collected our Dust Bunnies for our M/Cpl - As revenge upon us, "Pte Schleppe" had to accompany us everywhere after that... LOL😁

I've still got my "cornflake" (Canadian Forces beret badge) that you get after passing the saluting test. That was in 1996 and although I'm no longer a CF member I cherish that little hunk of metal.

Ahhh..These inst are pleasant compared to ones we had..as i watch one of the instrs toss someone kit out the window..and i laughed..then bammm ..Was that you EASTMAN .YES MCPL...Think thats funny EASTMAN.. YES MCPL .. proceeds to toss my kit out the window..GO GET YOUR KIT EASTMAN...YES MCPL ....laughing out asses off as we went down the stairs ...but man did i love it!!! it weeded out the ones that couldn't handle the pressure...I sure did alot of extra laps and shit loads of push-ups..lol ..

@@woodflys3399 they're staggering return of platoons to keep the school at 25% capacity. My coc has said it could be some time in july for us, first set of platoons are supposed to return on the 29th conditions permitting. It's going to be a while for you my friend I'm sorry.

At week 4. I got a written warning about my hair. It was all one length and halfway down my back. Hair clips and hair Gel became my 1st 12 mins every morning and also after PT. I refused to cut my hair and I got ridden hard for it. It was my act of defiance... lol I distinctly remember my Saluting test as I damn near dropped my bowler, because we also had to do a proper remove head dress to receive our cap badge.

Who’s responsible for cleaning everything before inspection? Is it just that one guy?

Instructors aren't your friends, their the teachers. I'm planning on joining once I improve my cardio, I hope the instructors will be strict, because I won't learn otherwise, and I think this applies to many people.

@@MrChefDK My 3 choices are Armour Soldier, Infanteer and Gunner. They asked for 3 choices when you first sign up. Still torn between being a tanker and infanteer though. When I wrote that message I was earlier in the enrollment process, now I'm about halfway through. I wouldn't mind the driving part, but I've been watching spec ops videos, especially the Canadian Patrol Pathfinders, and now I think I'm leaning more towards the infantry since the majority of candidates for specialized programs like the CPP are chosen within the infantry.

You can pass if you can't swim. It isn't a mandatory requirement, but they will force you to jump in and try. There will be a swim test late in the course, and if you fail it you will not be eligible for top athlete award, but you can still pass the course.

I mean it gives people a perception of what basic training is, I’m not of age but by looking at the videos I can see what I need to improve on and how I can maybe, possible join the reserves

The only military people that really need to do physical shit is combat arms, they do that on their actual job course. No need to cripple a potentially brilliant doctor because you need to be macho
