    @RCBeing long is more important than being tall imo. They all have monkey arms. That is a bigger advantage than height for long guard

    @RC compare a typical dagestani with a Nigerian that is the same height. The Nigerian is going to be significantly longer

    I learnt to block like this when I did traditional martial arts. When I started doing kickboxing I was told not to block like this and shell up and use my gloves more but I still use the high gate blocks anyway, which I learnt from doing Shaolin kungfu.

    0:19 Thank you... some of the guys keep shelling up like the boxing style and when I block with my elbows covering my side of the face bc I'm prepping for a mma match they get mad with me telling me not to block like that and use the boxing style

    Matt doesn’t want to drop down and roll too much you can run into a knee regardless still great work both of you! And I’m going to try to use my elbows to block It makes sense

    😢is it still possible for me to train and fight mma? I have extremely terrible vision, abt 600+ short sightedness. When i take off me glass me reaction is slow. Im slow even if its in 12oz boxing gloves 😭😭😭

    Hi! it is possible with slow sparring to develop a reaction speed that will get rid of the knockouts in the match that come from fast and hard hits that you didn't experience in training. How can you develop fast defensive reflexes with slow speed sparring? I ask this because I know that hard sparring is the main culprit for CTE and other brain problems and that's why I'm looking to find out if you can develop fantastic defense with slow sparring. Thanks!

    You can separate stuff, fast but not full force punches, drills with limited techniques, but at the end of the day, YOU WILL NEED SOME HARD SPARRING!!!
