7-3-6 is just a 2-5-1 for the 6 chord and the m5-1-4 is just a 2-5-1 for the 4 chord. It's the same concept for both landing chords. Thank for you this!
@gabs7753

Can you explain this to me lol.
@jeffereybishop9810
3 жыл бұрын
@@gabs7753 sure thing, The 2-5-1 is a common jazz passing chord sequence. So let’s say you are going to play a C chord. Before you get there you play the 2 5 1 in that key. So Dm G C. You temporarily change the key of the song to the one you are going to. If you are in the key of C and you want to play a G chord you would temporarily change the key to G and play the 2 5 1 in the key you are going to, in this case G. So you would play Am (2) D (5) G (1) It’s saying the same thing as the video but in a different way.

But 7-3-6 that's look like different patron, if it's a reguler 2-5-6 then when he play in D and want to pass to Bm. It should C#m-F#- Bm. Need explanation please

Thank you for posting this! It’s always great to hear chord progressions broken down in an easy to understand manner.
I’m not a worship leader but I do appreciate the information. Those chord progressions are prolific throughout r &b and jazz music and learning them adds an extra layer of lushness to your productions.
You should do a part 2 teaching the specifics of all those sweet runs you played in the beginning.

Please keep on playing, inspirational and informative - thanks!
This is absolutely enchanting. Keep praising the Lord! I want to see a whole list of these videos
Thank you for sharing this with us. God bless you and I hope you continue using the talent He’s given you for His glory always!
I have always wanted to learn that type of chord progression to add some flavor to my playing. Now I have the tools and examples to learn just how to do that. Thank you and God bless you brother for making this kind of instructional video. I can't wait to see more upcoming videos like this one.
This has been amazing! Thank you, I used to feel so intimidated trying to learn gospel progressions. But this has changed the game for me!
One of the few tutorials that is actually a reasonable pace. Either they go to fast or else they spell out every single note in slow motion. Thank you for being a human being. And an excellent teacher.
This is so clutch. I have been in a gospel choir for three years and have been playing contemporary worship in church for many years. So pumped to find your channel, i'm going to be scouring it

Man oh man. You’re the GOAT for this video fam. I had a friend who was telling me about this chord progression with a 2-5-1 and he urged me to learn it quickly as possible. I learned it in C and had no idea where to apply it but this makes so much freaking sense. It’s all passing chords between the fundamental chord progressions 1-5-6-4 and 6-4-1-5, which I knew so this is blowing my mind right now at almost 1:00 in the morning. Thank you man. God bless.
