Same! Your washer looked new after, I need to do that to mine!

Make sure you leave the top open on the washer after you are done. That will help stop the mold inside. I had to do that with my front loader-the replaced it with one like yours.

👏🏼👏🏼 Have y’all ever gotten an estimate on having the basement sealed (or whatever it’s called to stop leaking)? It just has so much potential, even without doing what most people think of as ‘finishing’ one. You could lay a piece of wood over the sinks for a handy folding station.

No the basement doesn't leak. The foundation is fine it's the floor drain. In our city when it rains alot to quickly alot of ppl get alil water up in the basement. And my washer leaks because I need a new clamp but i need time to go to hardware store. The most I would ever do here is paint the floor but honestly we wanna move one day so I don't feel like moving everything down here just to paint.

Sonya, I too would like to see a light gray driveway paint on this floor. Could smoosh things to one side, paint half and let dry. Repeat. It would be FABULOUS 👍🏻

Mom Likely! My basement is the same whenever it rains or should I say downpours lol then we get a little water but nothing to worry about. I have a 1880 home so you basement looks good to me! You always do so much work in your videos your awesome 😎 You see how your box fell asleep the machine I had a whole entire 200 oz of detergent fall off my dryer! That was one hell of a mess to clean up! But it made the basement smell lovely lol

I’ve been trying to find a good way to organize my laundry room. That’s my next video. Love watching you clean 💕

Awesome job! Those basement stairs look scary! The steps looks so small, I have a nightmare of falling down the stairs. Do not wet the lint on the wall that make it cement. Try a dry hard brush. The top of your washer comes off if you want to take it off, put the little tabs in. I hate cleaning out the dryer vent, well I hate pulling out the dryer to get to the vent, but worth it. Off to clean my washer thanks to you!

Thank you! We used to have a basket on the ceiling but it was obtrusive Soni tool it down. That's why I just added the laundry sorter I'm gonna get another aswell.

Maybe just buy an inexpensive carpet and put it all in front of the washer and dryer. Major props on all you accomplished on this project.

Girl yes!! Start there. It may take some time but it will feel great having it done. We are fortunate to have these larger spaces for storage but man it's easy to pack them full of stuff 🤣

Girl I love the motivation, my daughter is sick with the stomach flu, she has been sick since Friday. I can't wait to disinfect her room. And the whole house. I am watching out for her. I loved the video, I hope she will be better by Tuesday. So I can get some stuff done

Wow!!!! Looks great!!!! Great job! FYI! I used to use Clorox on the outside of my white appliances and it took the paint off and started to rust! I was devastated! Please be careful out there to anybody using it!

Good tip.

Use LAs totally awesome spray from dollar tree for the wall areas it gets everything off then repaint with killz mold killing paint . Its strong so be careful .. maybe since it's the basement use a mask

amazing job on the washer! it's one of those things that we don't often think of but really needs to be done. I have a top loaded too and once I removed the cap in the middle agitator thing and omg it was black inside

Mom Likely! I’ve been spring cleaning slowly slowly... a friend of mine is out of work so I’m paying her to help me with things I can’t do after an injury- win win. My hope is that by the time Montreal actually gets good weather, my last task will be windows and it’ll feel like a brand new home 😂

Hello Beautiful. Hey since James has all those drills, try getting a brush attachment. Wet that lint spot and add some toilet bowl cleaner. Then scrub away with the drill and brush attachment. You can do the same with the mildewed corner.

Hi. You can you some bleach and water int the corners where the mold and mildew is . Because you have Exercise equipment down there and if anyone’s working out there in hailing that I’ve had problems with mold that cleans it right up on your walls down bottom

Maybe the dawn vinegar spray mix or a foaming shower cleaner would help with the lint on the wall? Just an idea 🤷🏻‍♀️

It didn't messy in one day. I have a house next door that has clothes of my husband, mother who lived with us, my son clothes & my clothes that I can't wear anymore that to big. I'm waiting until it get warm then go up & start going through things get rid of them.

When I watched the basket slide across your washing machine I thought your basement was haunted lol!!

In fact vinegar could destroy the rubber tubes of the washer. You shouldn´t use it to clean it. Normal detergent and the hottest circle will do the job without damage. ♥

Get a lint trap for that sink it will help with lint going in that sink and clogging your drain

Have you tried spraying some CLR on the wall? Then take the brush to it again. IDK. I'm trying to think of something to help! LOL Affresh tabs are PERFECT for keeping the washer clean! They have a good sized pack of wipes too... not sure if you can get the wipes in stores but we get them off Amazon. The tabs can be pricey (esp. since you only get 3-4 a pack) but sooo worth it. You really only need to use them once a month or whenever needed. (They also have tabs for dishwashers too.)

I tried all my tired and tries 🤦🏽‍♀️ I'm thinking maybe amonia but I don't wanna do that because I don't want to use alot of water on the wall ya know. Eerg!

Vinegar works better than bleach for mold - also Brillo pads will scrub it more aggressively... I see you’re using super clean I would LOVE to know your opinion on this product I’ve been DIEING to try it on some spots in my car and laundry room as well but it’s hard for me to find in stores ..... what all do you use it on ?

I like how it works in the car for sure. It works to take stains out of my kids sheets, and hubby's jeans to. I use it randomly elsewhere but those places I know Ill get somewhere.

No we don't. We used to have a panty hose hooked up but don't know. I haven't ever seen an actual catcher? Where do you find those?

@@MomLikely You can find them in the aisle with the laundry products. They are usually hanging on the shelf. they come 2 or 3 to a package. You might have seen them but didn t know what they were. Pantyhose are very good to use. I use them too.

They help to keep some of the grime out of the utility sink.

Maybe you can spray some bleach on the black stuff on the walls it might work great job as always . I was going to do some cleaning but I had to watch your video first ❤️

@@MomLikely The black mold can't be treated long term with bleach. If you can contact mold cleaners that would be the best way to go and may be covered by your insurance. If not, wipe the walls with bleach and paint with a mold primer once they dry and then paint again. Don't let clothing air dry or things you need upstairs to stay down there because mold let's off spores that attach to things. Please use masks while in your basement because you can breathe in the spores. Be blessed and great video!

It looks like mold growing that you cant get rid of. And ruston your washer. Do you run a dehumidifer? If anyone has allergies, a damp basement can make them much worse.

Mom Likely! You have mold growing that’s what’s behind the machine, on the floors and in the machines...

Mold is really dangerous for your lungs even if it’s just in your basement, it could grow inside the walls and spread, their could be mold behind the basement shelves, behind your washer and dryer and bottom of the walls near the floor. Mold has a long lasting effect in your lungs and your kids could develop breathing problems. Please make sure it’s all taken off. If you can, hire someone to take a look in your basement to see if they can take it all off maybe inside your walls. Just be safe please! 😁

Yes Tilex mood and mildew remover will clean everything!! I absolutely love that stuff!! Spray and walk away and when you come back, stains are gone!!
