At some point in the past (you can look it up) a MLB player was traded from Team A to Team B, IN THE INTERMISSION OF A DOUBLE-HEADER between Team A and Team B! Just gather his stuff, move over to the other dressing room, get a new uniform, and go out to play on the other side...

2 years ago Javi Baez was traded to the Mets, I can't remember the date of the trade or games but the Mets ended up playing out the remainder of a rained out game later that season, and all the stats from that finished game go to the original start date. So somewhere in some statistic, Javi Baez is credited for playing for 2 different teams in 2 different states playing at the same time.

Eric Money played for the NY Nets against the Philadelphia 76ers on November 8, 1979. The game was protested by the Nets, and had to be replayed from the middle of the third quarter. He was traded from the Nets to the 76ers before the partial replay took place on March 22, 1980, and ended up scoring for both teams in the same game.

This is ridiculous. It's the only game this happens in. The MLBPA has to at least insist that trades only happen when their current game is over.

Injuries for sure, but the bottom line is that they are no longer a member of the on field club, making them ineligible to play.

Not the same but in 1922 (I had to look it up) a Cardinal player was traded between games of a doublehitter.

“Hey man, we don’t want you anymore, get outta here,”

So what the player traded was the pitcher on the mound.... with NOBODY warming up at the time..... would they just call time pull a pitcher off the bench just to give extra time for a different pitcher to warm up

It was Scooter Gennett. He was playing, and then in like the 5th inning, he didn't come out to second, and I wondered why. I went home and found out he got traded. It was definitely a cool memory

Players have no choice in whether a team actually trades them, they can voice their opinion if they want or don't want to be traded but in the end, it's the GM who makes the final call.
