Yup, even on the AT, I found in some places that the blazes were far and few between. Sometimes I began to doubt myself and then, BAM, a blaze appeared. I have the same issue. When I'm backpacking, at least for a while in the beginning, I am NOT hungry and have to force myself to eat. On the AT, I came across trail magic once and they gave me a hot dog. I wasn't hungry but when I ate that hot dog, my brain and hunger kicked in right then and there. John from MI

Looks like you got turned around on Rainey Mountain like I did. I didn't see the blaze across that "road" till I came back downhill and saw it behind a branch.

Your videos on the Bartram trail have been so good. I’m with you with blazes, when you haven’t seen one for a while it’s comforting when one appears. I remember what you said on the AT about always checking behind you to see if they are any for the other direction 😉. Enjoy your last day. It’s been enjoyable following your journey. 🤘🏻🥾🏕

How long has the tuna been out of the foil packets?? I’m pretty sure you have to refrigerate it after you open it and it last for 3-4 days in refrigerator. Oh, I hope you don’t get sick. Sorry, that just made me concerned for you.

Your hair is a hot weight on your head in summer conditions. If you will feel better, just cut it a bit. You are right about needing to eat. A hiking friend also struggles to eat when it is hot. She puts her daily food in a bag and makes herself take several breaks to drink water and eat. Those dogs should not be out without being with an owner. There won't be anyone picking up after these two ....
