From Wikipedia:
Bartlett is a city in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States, located northeast of Memphis. The population was 54,613 at the 2010 U.S. Census.
Bartlett, originally called "Union Depot", first served as the last major Tennessean depot along the westward stagecoach route from Nashville. It later shifted to serve as a rail station after the stagecoach route was replaced by the Memphis & Ohio Railroad. An agricultural community gradually emerged around the depot and subsequent station that saw little growth until after the American Civil War.
The community saw quick growth during Reconstruction, and by 1886 was home to a school, two gristmills, three churches, several general stores, and about 300 inhabitants. It had been officially incorporated on November 1, 1866, with a population of less than 100 under the inaugural mayorship of Bryan Wither. The city derived its name from Major Gabriel M. Bartlett, a planter and pioneer settler of the area, whose homeplace was located on the old Raleigh-Somerville Road (Stage Road) at the present location of Bartlett Station Plaza.

My old neighborhood. I knew every frame in this video, you drove within about 4 houses away from mine. Bartlett is a wonderful place to raise kids and it’s quiet and safe. The Bartlett Police are kinda heavy handed but if you don’t cause trouble you won’t get trouble

Love that the Law Enforcement is heavy. Don't speed in Bartlett, or any of the other burbs either.

A lot of people don’t realize that when people say, “I’m from Memphis.” They probably mean, “I’m from Bartlett/Germantown/Cordova/Collierville/Lakeland”

Bartlett is a decent town to reside in if you have no children. If you're like me and MUST use the public school you will be extremely disappointed. Not sure what their hold up is with giving our children a playground but they absolutely refuse. Not to mention they give very limited recess for the kids to have fresh air in the entire eight hour school day, some days they choose to give indoor recess which is the children being kept in the classroom NOT to play in the gym. It's absurd, this system has failed, it is not what it once was, please do proper research before moving here as a family if you value your children.

Bartlett is Memphis people. It’s just the suburbs of Memphis. I keep telling people. Memphis is bad like you think. Don’t believe these people. I’ve been living in Bartlett all my life. It’s Memphis. So is Arlington …Collierville…Germantown… Lakeland and Millington. All Shelby County

Memphis isn’t that bad! Other than the 336 Homicides, hundreds of carjackings, home invasions, auto theft out the nose, that aside, we have great BBQ! Just pack some Kevlar and your favorite sidearm when you come to visit.

Yeah, it's still practically Memphis but Bartlett, Collierville, and Germantown are quitter and have less overall crime than Memphis itself. If you've lived in Memphis your whole life, Bartlett and Germantown feels like a luxury suburbs.

Everywhere has crime SMH. Memphis Tennessee is the same as any American city. People, stop letting the News brainwash you into doing exactly what the elites want. They tell you a place is to dangerous so you will spend more money on their more expensive areas. It's called psychology, a game they play making you view certain situations as unsafe. Wake up family. Blessings. BTW, Memphis TN is a decent place. I live in midtown. Paid 17,000 cash for my 3 bed house. I'm living debt free, because I didn't allow the media to screw with my mind. And I'm dang close to downtown LoL. Blessings.

@@hoopty. you obviously haven’t lived in Memphis before there are so many stories that can tell itself which I have one for you. My auntie and her daughter her gun shots in the middle of the night… long story short a lady was dead in the hallway… the person that killed her walked outside and started shooting something else
