I live in Chicago and had been craving a New York slice for weeks. When my spouse found Zazas and we found out Dave had reviewed it, we had to stop in. An easy 8.5+, true New York style, and light enough that I knocked back four slices and felt great. Also, their garlic knots are like cinnamon rolls. Grab 'um while you're there!

Thanks for finally coming here Dave. I was one of the folks prodding you to get here. This location had like 5 perfectly good restaurants fail to due poor foot traffic (no idea where all these folks came from the day you showed up). These guys are right in my neighborhood and they have been doing great. Glad you enjoyed it! The neighborhood is East Lakeview.

One of the great things about these reviews, is that Dave just riffs with any and everyone interrupting, with honesty. It's great as a content consumer, because it doesn't leave an awkward aftertaste after watching. One comment, everybody knows the rules.

I agree. Dave can be a bit of a masshole, but a good hearted, well meaning one. My kind. And he never refuses a slice, especially to the obviously homeless. After seeing him tell a few unfortunate types to grab a slice, I became a fan

I like Eddie behind the camera. He’s not scared of Dave like most of Dave’s helpers that travel and film him, so he actual speaks and has a comment on things here and there which I think is helpful to Dave and makes it more interesting. Keep Eddie on the camera

This is a review for the ages, the INCREDIBLE looking pizza, the "personal trainer" (more like pain in the ass), the eye-roll inducing cookies and the constant interruptions, seriously an episode that is up there with the best episodes. These guys are awesome. Went to pizza fest in Chicago July 23rd and they were there. Never heard of them prior, but by far the best pizza in Chicago. They had their truffle mushroom and bacon jam pizzas. Bacon jam is amazing! The owners are very friendly and their mother was awesome too. Had pizza from there 3 times since, it's just to good.

@@charlesfinnegan7930 They don't have stuffed. Mainly NY style, along with grandma style slices (which are thicker, more Sicilian-like). They have a good amount of variety in terms of toppings too in addition to their more traditional ones. Things like pepperoni with hot honey and jalapenos. Or a bacon jam pie.

I love Banci Pizza (Westloop), not your typical style, but the crust is delicious, and the ingredients too. Based out of Rome.
