As a 5-6 year daily watcher, the unique "real" experiences while on the street have dwindled for at least the last 3 years since pandemic. Every review back in the day seemed to have some unique angle to it, but these days its every 4 to 5 reviews were something other than a straight review happens....and lets be honest, we are here for those unique things, not just the pizza. Also theres hardly any guests....that helps when there isnt much else going on and the review is done in 2min45sec.

@@adamolson1880 the guest thing is a product to dave living in miami, he had one on recently and they were busting on him because he said it was a big deal to get him to go to nyc and do a guest review because hes over the city pretty much, the other thing is as you can see hes hit so many places in NYC, every unique experience was organic because it just happened, im sure if dave could have them be 5-10 mins long he would but sometimes it just dont happen and its just gets harder as hes done so many....but when they do happen I agree they are the best, like this one. I will say in the last month hes had quite a few.

Many or most couldn't keep their composure knowing what was involved. But again, I was being a bit playful comparing too-doughy knishes with facing a psychopathic mass murder deciding people's fates on the toss of a coin. It's funny how both cases are similar but completely dissimilar at the same time.

Potato or Kasha (Buckwheat Paste) Knishes were common in Brooklyn during my childhood and Shatzkin's in Coney Island was the place until it burned in about 1973 and reopened in Plum Beach. Dave, you should eat at a Kosher Deli in NYC. A square, fried Potato Knish, split lengthwise and spread with a little Deli Mustard & Salt is to die for. French Fries, take a walk. I live in Central Texas; I've got Gabilla's Knishes from Brooklyn in my freezer.

I genuinely have no clue why prez is negatively biased towards fresh out the oven pizza, like mate of course its lava it just came straight out of lava temperatures. Sometimes the pies have been sitting there for a couple minutes, or he takes longer conversationing with the camera, so they definitely get the chance to firm up and get crispier. At least a third of the pizzas prez has reviewed can get a bump in score if he let them rest a few minutes, everybody knows the rules.

Love the name of the pizza place, but had the owner not been right there, it'd have been a 5.8. From that online encyclopedia that starts with a W (not allowed to mention the name apparently) - Knish: Knishes are often purchased from street vendors in urban areas with a large Jewish population, sometimes at a hot dog stand, or from a butcher shop. They are still strongly associated with New York City cuisine, possibly because of the iconic Yonah Schimmel's Knish Bakery restaurant, located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, traditionally a Jewish neighborhood.
