State law overrides city policy. They can chase. The state would not keep an officer from chasing down a car jacker. I live in Illinois. Chicago thinks its its own state and can make up new laws but they cant. The problem is the governor of the state is as corrupt as they come.

@@KensAlpaca no chasing is allowed in Chicago unless they can chase without endangering the public. So pretty much they have to be in area with no traffic or the country side.

Correct. CPD had a “no chase” policy forced upon them by Far Left “police reform”. The cops should be commended for following the rules wanted by BLM and the mayor. Now they can suck on it 🙌🏼
