Man it's been a very long time that Barry talk to his parents for real no doppelganger, no speed force version of them just the real identical version of Nora and Henry Allen. Also Barry had about enough of Thawne everytime he managed to defeat him he always come back like he said "I'm the one thing that cannot stop".

These episodes between them are always the best written and acted. They draw you right in every time

0:31 the fact that barry reunited with his parents again was already shocking but the fact that he’s not able to tell them he’s their son from the future is really cruel to Barry

Makes all sense now !!! When Nora died in Barry’s arms telling him “I’m confused” , she already met adult barry so she knew him the moment he appeared.

Nah bro sorry to tell you but she never said she was confused. She said "I don't understand." And that's from Barry telling her that he's the Flash which makes sense she wouldn't understand what that mean or who he is. In Chronological order 9x10 is where Nora technically first encounter Barry and 1x23 is where she meets Barry younger self but in 1x23 it seems she doesn't recognize him as Bart who future Barry introduce himself to her as but this might be due to the fact when he looks alot different since 2023 Barry is alot older than the one she saw when dying.

Even when after Barry took off his mask she didn't say the line I don't understand in any of the scenes. She said "You looked just like my father." The exact same thing she said to 2023 Barry earlier that day or in the recent episode 9x10. She canonically identified 2014 Barry and 2023 Barry as 2 different people. Otherwise she would've called him Bart.

(Observe her body language) She realized her son have travelled back in time even earlier before the incident she knew smth was up “I just have this feeling...” Nora knew, the timeline didn't change for this very reason. Because its all connected.

That ending of the episode had me going crazy vectors like a full circle everything that happen in season one when he was a kid he just got a look at how it started

I have a theory as to what this is gonna lead to. Since Barry is from the future and now in the past he is now going to ensure that his younger self survives and fight Thawne back in the house back in Ep 1 Season 1 that way he can become the Flash and ensure the timeline stays the exact same way it is now and make it so Thawne cant time travel, the same way Barry cant rn. It seems ridiculous but if you think about it, it makes sense

They really did play their own versions Eobard Thawne greatly. IMO, Tom Cavanagh really is best when being Harrison Wells (almost every version of Wells), and plays the Thawne character in Wells' body really good. His great at making HW an intelligent character. While Matt Letscher excels as the Reverse Flash with his way of expressing RF's different emotions in different situations, be it when he's being over confident, desperate, manipulative, going mad, genuinely breaking down, etc.. He's great at both humanizing and villainizing RF. (I wish I could have worded this better but my vocabulary sucks arse xD TL:DR They're great!)

Season 1 finale his mom acted like she didnt know who Barry was and like it was the first time meeting him but here we see that they did meet and obviously spent time together.
