LYRICS:
Barrels of Whiskey
As I stepped out me house I saw this man named Clyde
He took me by the hand saying I’ll take you for a ride
I said I cannot go there there are things to get done
He said boy you must cause I ain`t got a son
There’s a little secret no one should know
Deep into the forest we both gotta go
I show you the way I earn my daily bread
But dare not to reveal it or you gonna loose your head
Chorus
I make barrels of whiskey it ain’t no champagne
It's served in our brothels to keep away the pain
What I share with you my lad
Is the biggest secret I’ve ever had
See the soldiers at war on the battle field
They've got more than a gun my whiskey is their shield
Look at the crippled and wounded down the street
A passport to hell and a bottle to their feet
You don’t leave a child or a sweetheart behind
This is our secret vow so boy don`t be blind
You want to sound like us? Check out our Gear:

How about a traditional Irish band from Japan? They're called the Cherry Coke$ and I saw them open for Flogging Molly a long time ago. They're pretty awesome!

Morrissey has it's root in Ireland and France independantly, but if I were to refer to myself as Irish or French I'd be what we colloquially call "a liar". What you describe as "Irish Music" is simply the style that was played accross western Europe up until about 120 years ago. Search for English PEnny Broadsides or Manchester's Improving Daily (obv. not the recent reggae version, though that version is awsome in it's own right) and you'll find plenty of examples of this type of music with no connections to Ireland. The Dropkick's style in particular has it's roots as much in Scottish folk music as Irish, as well as good old English Oi!

haha, I expected a load of abuse, I guess I'm jaded about the internet, nice to meet civilised folk once in a while! Whilst it is completely unauthentic to the way it was writtem, Edward II's reggae version of "Victoria Bridge on a Saturday Night" is awsome.

I've a fondness for these types of songs that I can't fully explain, other than that it makes me feel alive. Also, my great-grandfather was a 'shiner, and his fathers a far while back before him. Guess the apple really doesn't fall that far from the tree, huh?
