This is sublime. Barra is a magical place. Awesome video. Makes me want to go back!

Have stayed on Vatersay with my wife and it is a stunning place, the beaches are really stunning and the sense of remoteness is exhilarating, we loved our weeks stay there about 3 years ago, and also travelled over the causeway to Barra, which has some equally stunning places to visit. All we would really like to add is that any visitors should "leave no footprints", which means that to preserve this beautiful island location, they take any litter/rubbish with them, dispose of waste in proper locations and clear up after themselves. We saw some abandoned tents, camping gear and equipment whilst we were there, this is just unacceptable.

It's completely gorgeous... but not to be pernickety, nearly all of this was Vatersay, not Barra

Beautiful video. It was from Barra that 3rd or 4th great grandfather and his brother (MacDougalls from Oban) resided and eventually left Barra in 1802 to sail to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, travelling with many MacNeils. With such stunning landscapes, a visit to Barra is high on my bucket list, especially landing on its beach runway. Many thanks for posting!

Just for clarity, 0 - 2:24 is Vatersay, the remainder is Barra. Truly wonderful part of the world...but don't tell anyone ;-)

Left Mono hey, thanks for the comment! The video is named Barra from Above, as it’s the biggest & most well-known of the areas. The description explains which areas are which, to clarify that it’s not all Barra.
