I saw Baroness on their Red Album tour a few years ago in Camden Underworld, I was stood so close to the stage Pete Adams' sweat was dripping down onto me. After they finished I leaned up and told him how amazing they are, and he looked down at my Mastodon t-shirt and said "coming from a fan of Mastodon, that's high praise dude." and i shall tell my grandkids that story

@@tedlewis3996 -- My spirit rejuvenator is Valley of the Sun, but I dig Red Fang too, and I'm pretty sure I'm about to be a Baroness follower as well.

This song feels exactly like it should be in the next Tony Hawk pro skater game and I mean that in the most complimentary way. It has a hook that drives.

Baroness's music makes me feel something on a level that no other band ever does.

One of the best albums I've heard in a lonnnnnnng time. If you don't like it, go listen to Red Album or something. If a band can do a double album and keep it DIFFERENT and EXCITING all the way through, then they deserve some goddamn recognition.

What is red album? 😳 I just heard about these guys because they will be playing at my favorite haunted hotel next year, January 25th. I already attended a seance at that place and their djs are amazing and I'm having so much fun going there as a single and sober person. I'm living my life to 💯 in all areas of life. Let's get it!

A song about opiate addiction after a car wreck. It's hard to get clean I'm glad that baroness still is around, too bad not in its it's original lineup but still..they rocking

You have no idea how to even use the term Sludge properly in reference to metal.....this is about as far from sludge as it gets. Listen to some Graves at Sea or Electric Wizard......learn before the keyboard starts making you look stupid. I love Baroness.....but they are a little hipster....so what.

@@iamalpharius9483 Baroness often gets lumped into the sludge/doom metal category though. Electric Wizard --> Sleep --> High on Fire --> Mastodon --> Baroness. It's because people generally don't just like one subgenre of music and when you're trying to explain what kind of music you like to someone, these things happen. Especially when the band is eclectic and doesn't fit neatly into a category. They also tour with sludge metal bands often.

Every time it gets to the harmonized guitar part at the end, it's like a flooding painkiller rushing down my spine

Brings back memories, I saw these guys with Decapitated and Meshuggah not too long ago! Really got the crowd going to say the least. Good band.

Excellent track, and what a collection of songs Yellow and Green is? Unreal. So much of current hard rock seems to be anachronistic shite but Baroness are the real deal IMO.

I saw them with summer Welch and Alan blickle as the rythm section there were a pure force of magnitude....Baroness have shown no bad choices with line up changes....but that one was something to behold.... cheers friend

I love the wall of sound that washes over me! You have catchy riffs and lyrics and a hefty sonic punch! Y'all play with much skill but your core is the firehose of raw emotion that saturates and moves me!

these are 6:10 minutes of my life well spent! Amazing band..

You have to look and see the reason why other bands are popular. Radio time advertising etc. Music execs. and big business push only a certain type of music they think the majority of the people will like. Cookie cutter crap. Plus, most people these days do not like this type of music, which is a shame because these guys are really talented.

They're mostly referring to what the band members look like. The "hipster" stereotype is ratty hair, dirty clothes, doesn't shower, etc. These guys, and Red Fang, and Mastodon, all fit that, but they're not really hipsters. Hipsters do it so they look like they don't give a shit. Real people do it because they really don't give a shit.

It is more hipster than older rock because a) the drummer is not a mere engine but a protagonist, b) you can understand the lyrics and c) it has suspense and crescendo. Still a great song, but it has grunge as well as low-tune guitars...quite a formula. Then if you consider the looks, it's the whole package.
