I went to Piemont 2 years ago and became a fan of Barbaresco. I was able to visit tenuta Cucco and their lineup is amazing! The highlight of the trip was tasting Rocche Dei Barbari just across the street from Produttori in Barbaresco town. But they only make direct sales. You just can't find them on shops.

Nice video. Always fun with the blind tastings and reveal. One of my favorite Nebbiolos and one I dare you to try is from Roero. It is the Matteo Correggio Roche d’Ampsej Riserva at around 40 €. It is a beautiful wine made in sandy soils so it is more soft and early drinkable than most Barolos.

This is a great video, I've had a few Nebbiolos, but I'm far from being an expert on them. To know that you struggle to tell the difference between Barolo and Barbaresco tells me that for food pairings they're probably interchangable.

At our wine club we tasted the 2018 Pio Cesare Barolo and Barbaresco at the same time and they tasted extremely similar though the Barolo was a bit more weighty and also had a lot longer aftertaste. Though I have to say that 2019 Produttori easily beats both of those Pio Cesare wines while also being more affordable.

Really love Piemonte, the landscape, the food and wine. But I really don't get the price point of Barolo and Barbaresco anymore. The quality does not match the price. But there are other great wines in the area and I will keep coming back to Piemonte and the areas around there (lake Como and the coastline in the south)
