Yeah when you write for tenor or any saxophone you stop at their respective high F# (transposed) anything above there is not guaranteed and if you want altissimo be sure to set them up for it in the music I.e. nothing too crazy before

This song is so cool! You wrote this yourself? This composition is beyond amazing! That dip at beat 4 at measure 45 is so darn cool. I can't even express my feelings of how this song sounds on here. It's just so darn amazing!

Man that Bari part is nice

I love saxophone quartet for it gives pleasant and energetic sense. When all the four instrumentalists simultaneously play in harmony it gives the effect of playing duplication of same copy of melody on both upper and lower octave ( left and right hand) with addition of two more notes (keys) in between to make chords with melody on foot-pumped harmonium.

That bari line was god playing the bari sax up in heaven. Perfect

I think I'm going to use the Bari solo bit to warm up when I go to high school next year to impress them (I need to prove myself because I'm the first female Bari player lol)

😂😂😂 same though. None of the guys wanted to play bari and I volunteered when I was in 7th and I’m now in 11th. It’s an amazing instrument. The best part is that I’ve been in a SATB sax quartet since 6th grade and I play the biggest instrument and I’m 5’1, and the guy that plays the soprano is 6’2

In sixth grade I was pressured into bari by my instructor at the time time now I’m a junior and have been marching with it for 4 years lol, by far my favorite sax that I’ve ever played. Also pretty fun to make an extremely loud noise.

I don't know if you've seen it yet or not, but there actually is a live version of it now, if you just look "Bari Basic Blues" and scroll down a little bit, you'll see four people on a stage playing it

MrGaffy ROG I’m glad you love my stuff! I use several different methods to come up with material. For these solos, I mostly just song until I find something I like, transcribe it, and then plug it in. That’s what I have found to work the best. Hope this helps, and thanks for the kind words!

Oh they sure do! Those higher notes use a technique called altissimo that utilizes overtones in order to hit notes not normally possible on the horn. Most professionals can hit those notes with accuracy, as well as some/many college students and a select few high school level students. MuseScore labels these as red (unusable) because it is somewhat rare that altissimo is ever used outside of improv and solos. I would say this arrangement is most likely written for the college/university level as a pep band style tune, although a really good high school group could do it if they put the work in.
