    I love the realness, the genuine not-trying-to-be-someone-else of all these people. Please dear TV people, Can we have a few nice cosy shows with lovely people again? Just to balance out the shiny, over-produced, licked, glossy, alienating, 'everybody's wanting to be a star' narcissistic exercises? Cheers!

    Here's a tip. Instead of doing the fast-forward thing, jut cut it.

  • @Thinkwit

    @Thinkwit

    6 жыл бұрын

    On SepticSceptic's Tip: Yes, you could have just cut it but I think the fast forward bit was great, almost essential to get the scale of the event, give it context. I thought it was great because we could see what happened before the tea cosy auction without it taking 15 mins - nice, fast-tracked build up. So, if I were you Roger, I'd ignore the tip - no sense of fun. Note: I've made it clear that that's my opinion so don't need to be told that if anyone feels the need to tell me.

  • @Thinkwit

    @Thinkwit

    6 жыл бұрын

    Rosco. Short answer: Why? Long answer: Hahaha - what a curious response - almost every comment in KZread is an opinion - do you want only those that are different from yours to be 'kept' (to the opinion holder's self) and not published? Very funny ... see if you can be even funnier with your reply to this (will you feel the need to swear - lots of writers do - when they run out of anything valid to say).

  • @Thinkwit

    @Thinkwit

    6 жыл бұрын

    Rosco - my last sentence said I didn't need to be told it was just my opinion. You told me not to share my opinions. They are quite different things. I'd give up now if I were you. I'm going to because I don't think you'll ever get it. Go tell someone else to keep their opinion to themselves.

    +123TauruZ321 Sorry about taking so long to notice your question. The squeaky bits of the audio are an unintended but happy side-effect of my editing process: the bits of the film to be fast forwarded are compressed on the timeline (e.g. 5 minutes worth down to 30 seconds worth) and this affects the sound accordingly. No squeaky little animals were used in the making of this piece.

    Tea cosy - I hate tea. I'm 61 and when I was small my parents would put loose tea and cold water in an aluminium tea pot, pop in on the gas stove, boil it up and let it stew for 15 minutes. There's worse to come. . . Into the cups it went, smelling like burnt cork then it would have three spoons of sugar and a glug or two of sterilised milk (bull's milk colloquily). Coffee anyone ?

    @@LyokoisGreat2 Boil the water separately, pour it straight onto the tea or teabags in the tea pot, don't let it cool before pouring, then let the tea steep for a few minutes, not more than 5 ideally, and then pour into the cup with a dash a fresh milk in the bottom of the cup and there you have it, a delicious refreshing drink. Do not use cream, sterilized milk, carnation milk or non-dairy creamer, All of these will make it taste disgusting. Add sugar if you have to, but it is much better without. AND, very important pour the milk into the cup first, not last, the difference in the rate the milk heats up makes all the difference to the taste. They did research on that, and I did my own research too. I did a blindfold test on a number of cups of tea and new which had the milk in first and which had the milk in last 100% of the time, I could tell by the taste.
