so i have a classic car that needs an overall .. I'm not going to be pulling every panel and all the glass but it needs to be stripped.. what is something I can put over bare metal so I can do this over a couple weeks? I could maybe put a thin coat of urethane single stage which i would remove with a final sand and then use etch primer then urethane primer surfacer for blocking but I figure I will be sanding one panel a night or maybe just on the weekends and it already has some rust bleed through.. would this metal prep stuff rust after a couple weeks? whenever I have used metal prep its been primered within 3 hrs but all of this is going to be done in a home garage when i have time.

@@zippythechicken It's all getting expensive. I just got some recently. I believe it was around 200 for a gallon and 80 or 90 for a quart of activator. One coat is about equal to two or three urethane. So over-all it goes farther. It's just the initial cost. Good luck with the project
