The push by Marcos Alonso was Extremely Soft Also, do you think Mateo Lahez the referee should get a warning by FIFA Authority for showing 30+ yellow cards Between the last two matches?

Look at his foot, it was a pen

His foot? Joselu is off the ground jumping, I didn’t see foot contact, only the push. Lahoz is clearly a problem as this happens so often with him; FIFA must like it to keep giving him big games 🤔

@shaolin You are correct about the foot contact. It’s completely accidental (Alonso is looking at the ball) but he definitely makes foot contact and pulls Joselu’s boot off. The push is still soft and I think that is why the ref awarded the penalty, not for the foot contact.

See and here the espanyol penalty is not incorrect (i agree with you) but then Witsel contact in wc vs canada is a 50-50…

It’s a fair point; again just about perspective. Having watched Espanyol penalty again, there is foot contact I originally missed but it’s still a soft penalty. Witsel is potentially a penalty but decisions like this are open and debatable. Simply a matter of perspective.

@@PaulSpacey yeps but when you add in an intensity treshold it becomes highly subjectiv. The laws of the game don’t do it so tread lightly in your own box to not need to argue later hehe. It’s careless, it’s a push… and yes the ref hasn’t decided to pardon it but to apply the laws of the game (and if we discuss the spirit then laws are bendable so not laws anymore…).

How can the referee give that as a penalty? Are these men or little girls? They just giving every slight sneeze as penalty these days.
