That skipper is lush, she has the more desirable darker brunette hair near black, its harder to find, skipper hair is usually silky and keeps well, loving seeing you collect the more older vintage gals too!

All that I know about pink jubilee Barbie is that there are actually two dolls from that year in the series. The silver one was given out at Lincoln center in New York to honor Barbies 30th anniversary debuting at toy fair. There is also a pink version given out in Canada that was limited to 500 dolls to celebrate the same anniversary. This doll was given out in April of that year.

This is something I love about the south! Antique stores that were old houses normally have the weirdest but best stuff!

I recently found an original Skipper at my local goodwill, which made my week. She now gets to play twinsies with my mother's childhood Skipper. My Skippers actually have really soft hair. It's far nicer than what was used on some of her compatriots, so that could very well be yours original hair.

The one with the Drew face sculpt wearing a pink and white gown that you thought was a Fashion Fever doll is the Birthday Wishes Barbie from 2004. Most of the dolls in that room look like they're in their original outfits, I don't remember the names for all of them but I recognize many from old 90s era Barbie Collector catalogs.

Such nostalgia seeing the early 2000s Polly Pocket wardrobe/vanity play set piece for the bigger Polly Pockets 🤩

The purple 2003 doll is so pretty I’ve never seen her! Also, I’ve really been wanting the pink 2002 doll, she’s so pretty as well!

I found a brunette growing up Skipper that was named Ginger.....also anytime your cats makes an appearance is always an added bonus to your videos.

I love watching your thrift hauls; I don't have the temperament to do serious thrift hunting, so I'm glad you take us along with you. I was unboxing L.U.V. dolls while watching and they are So Nice! I got Londynn and Autumn, but now I want to get the other 2. I didn't realize they were 10" tall and had stands 🤩

The Skipper is amazing, I love the dark brown hair and the outfit. So beautiful I love Pink Jubilee Barbie, she is the epitome of 80s glam to me. Love the silver lamé dress. Totally my jam! Even the napkin is really cool!!

The red head with the blue dress is a fashion avenue Barbie! I got her in box locally recently because she is STUNNING. She’s marketed as a “Kay-Bee special edition” on the box? I know fashion avenue is usually fashion packs and they’re always so nice looking I need more!!

I was about to comment on this doll, I bought her back in 1998 when she was new, she was indeed a Kay-Bee exclusive. She's one of the few dolls released with the Fashion Avenue branding, which otherwise only appeared on fashion packs. The only other FA doll I know of was a blonde with a pink & yellow velvet mini dress with daisies around the waist, and a matching pink beret.

the coolest thrift finds I've found were monster high lavendertowne customs at a goodwill near my job LOL I posted on reddit about them and people were like omg I know that artist!! it was very cool I didn't buy them but I hope whoever did loved em ^-^

On the Francie (my favorite doll - I collect her). The fashion is Go Granny Go. Looks like the lace/ribbon trim has been replaced and that’s why it looks off. Usually the ribbon is completely covered by lace, not threaded through it which is why it is off. And that IS an original Francie swimsuit. It is one of three variations that came on the original Francie.

I remember reading about the Pink Jubilee thing in Doll Reader magazine at some point… I think it was for Barbie VIPs (people who were big deals to Mattel at the time like buyers, toy press, store owners, etc). There was a guy named A. Glenn Mandeville who used to write about fashion dolls a lot and I think he passed away a while ago, but I’m pretty sure I read about that. I don’t think Barbie Bazaar existed at that point, but I would encourage you to track down issues of it. 👍 It’s worth getting this stuff because all of this knowledge is disappearing. 😢 I was at the Barbie Festival in 1994 with my mom. 😃 I was in high school then. I do remember that people were freaking out about the 35th anniversary dolls because so few were made of Pink Jubilee. That was around when things kind of blew up for Barbie collecting.

If you are collecting 1980s Barbie, in my opinion, the best 80s Barbie is Billy Boys Feelin’ Groovy Barbie. She encompasses the style!

❤ Nice Barbie haul! 2002 (pink feathers) also has a AA variant with the Desiree face. I believe it was one of the earliest Desiree. The redhead in teal was sold as a fashion pack but also as a 1998 KB exclusive doll (Stock #20782). The Mackie face short hair blonde in pink and green is from the Classique Collection of the 90s, beautiful. It's one I don't have yet and now I want one lol

That jubilee story is very cool! I went to an estate sale yesterday and scored on a lot of barbie clothes, dolls, furniture. The woman was there and it turns out she was a big big barbie collector (like myself) but they were moving! It wouldve been nice to know her before bc then i would have someone to be zany about barbies with that lived nearby lol

2nd and Charles is always hit or miss for sure. Mine is riddled with Funkos and Star wars memorabilia...

I saw that Pink Jubilee in your video. I remembered seeing her picture before, but I didn’t know how rare she was. Indeed there are other 80s collector Barbies like Gold Jubilee that I like better, but it’s nice to have a more rare item in Barbie history. I assume at least some of the people at the event were larger shareholders and business people, but not necessarily collectors.

Skipper's hair is very soft, I don't think she's been rerooted! Francie's green-blue swuimsuit is indeed original. The pink bag with pockets is Potty Tarining's Kelly from 1997. The Barbie with knee articulation and crimped hair might be Dance Moves Barbie from 1994/5, you thrifted a part of her outfit recently!

I have the green Pioneer Barbie

This is such a cool Antiques store, so very wonderful memories here, when my daughter was little and growing up she loved Barbies, and had a lot and I collected them with her, so the 80’s and 90’s Barbies we had a lot of. This looks kind of Halloweenish outside, so many cute, spooky things, I love it ❤

Skipper- look on her feet, Japan is most common but you can find USA which is fine but is harder to find. The May be original as I have some soft hair skippers that are original Francie swimsuit is hers Doll out of the first case is Stacie, a newer sister of Barbie

I was pretty sure I recognized it from my childhood and then you pulled out the exact babysitter Barbie I had that I was thinking the diaper bag came with :') Edit: looking up that Barbie, it seems like she didn't come with that bag after all? @@xCanadensis rewatching that specific clip, I actually think it's the Campus Sweet Shop Two pack Allan reproduction redressed in a vintage swim suit. That particular Allan has smaller painted eyes and slightly flatter head than the 4 pack reproduction swim suit Allan, so I suspect the original owner took his outfit to put on an actual vintage doll, and chose to display the vintage swim suit on the reproduction.

im like 99.9% sure the back of the super talk barbie has one of naya rivera's early ad shoots on the back; if so, that's so neat! i've never seen that doll in person, so i didn't know that they put those types of ads/photos on the back of the boxes, ahhh. also please let me know if you find anything out about the jubilee barbie because i am INVESTED!

I have that 2003 Barbie. I don’t collect many older Barbies, but purple is my favourite colour, and she looks so elegant. There is a more rare and expensive redheaded version that was called a “Treasure Hunt” doll (not sure how it was distributed). She looks stunning, but is not worth the extra price IMO.
