With the sad box office bombs that have come out recently it's so nice to see these two films have highly successful releases. Also I'm more than happy to see you do more films, wether it be new releases or classics or recommendations ❤

Sadly can't see these films until the weekend after when I'm finally back from Europe. I'm definitely seeing Oppenheimer first though.

im glad you enjoyed the movies. we went to see "Sound of Freedom" it was good and i recommend it, its a real serious problem that sadly gets ignored by our worthless leaders in charge now. the movie made me sad 😢

Interesting. I just watched Oppenheimer this morning, and I was wondering how a younger demographic would react to it. Of course, I get your excitement when pointing out the visual and audio elements you enjoyed the most - there's no doubt that this film is great cinema. However, I do not share the same enthusiasm when it comes to its execution. This film kind of made me want to appreciate Interstellar more; and Interstellar for me is the lesser Nolan film. When everything was set and done, I didn't understood why I must watch this on IMAX; this is not a visual event. To be honest, I would advise friends to wait for streaming. Maybe I over hyped the film in my head, but for me, at the end it was just "okay". I do agree with the score thou, fantastic. Regarding Barbie, I gonna sit that one, and perhaps catch it between projects when it hit streaming. Good reviews and keep supporting the WGA and SAG-AFTRA!!!

Everyone that I've seen have Interstellar as their less favorite Nolan movie also thinks the same with Oppenheimer. While I do agree that it is not necessary to watch it on IMAX 70mm, it definitely enhanced my experience. I plan to watch it on a regular screen in the near future to compare. Thanks for your thoughts!!

I really wish there was a way to have a sit down chat about your take away from Barbie. I honestly feel that way about a lot of the women I see praising the film. It's like have we really reached that all time low. Is it generational? I mean I see praise from all ages of women and I sit there and am just so perplexed. I'm like did we all just watch the same movie? It's like everyone is okay with the Kens being lower than a slave class in Barbie world or the truly fascist nature of Barbieland. I mean people love to throw around that word but this movie displays it to the letter. Or how unbelievably cartoonish the "real world" was in that movie. I honestly think this film eats it's viewers brains. I know I had a headache for two days after watching it hahaha Anyway it sucks we can't have any real discussion about this. Would be cool.

I did rate this 4.5 out of 5 because it wasn’t perfect. My takeaway with the Kens is that everyone is badly affected by the patriarchy and that Ken is more than just being Barbie’s girlfriend and needs to find who he truly is. They were definitely not lower than a slave class they definitely had rights and Barbieland was made to be the opposite of the real world. I will agree that the ending was a little bit off for me but i feel like kens story isn’t over. Honestly for me it was America Ferrera’s speech that hit home to me.
