The best part about America's husband is that is actually her husband in real life and he was actually also trying to learn Spanish in real life for her.

Barbie was made to give girls the impression they can be anything they want. That is why Barbie is in the Guinness book of records for having the most jobs as a fictional character.

Actually there is a movie called "The Offer" that explains the story behind the Godfather because it is an example of how Bob Evans and the Hollywood studios worked in their prime. 😄

I just got finished watching the whole movie on Max. That's in large part thanks to your reaction. I can't believe I waited so long to see this movie. It was much better than I would have given it credit for. Margot Robbie Ryan Gosling America Ferrera the whole cast and Direction, music was phonemical. Thank You Again for another great reaction. Keep up the Great Work.👍👍❤❤😊😊

Hola Sublime Vanessa Yeah! It's so much more than just a goofy comedy with eye popping window dressing. Realty comes crashing in on Barbie land , looks like it isn't so perfect after all. Ha hi Alan , the Ken's rebelling , so clueless was hilarious. Sure it's a clique , but tell me you wouldn't want to be serenaded underneath the stars like that , they did over do it , it's more romantic when it's in the spur of the moment. I liked how Ken eventually became his own man helped by Barbie , we do have our differences but need to understand it's better for the world when we come together , Love can move mountains. 🤞 Ryan takes the Oscar , it was funny that someone said " I'm just Ken " should be played on a loop in the Louvre , if he doesn't win best supporting actor , odds favour Downey , the song " what was i made for " should take it. On a finishing note it was heartwarming how Ruth Handler played a part in Barbie's journey , the pictures were all from the film crews family's. Muchas Gracias , for the deep dive , bless your 💗 Vanessa 🖐️ kzread.info/dash/bejne/pWmWq8FwY5WpodY.htmlsi=EdiryDZ8u0WRQjCf kzread.info/dash/bejne/f3ZkxZh7YrPIfrw.htmlsi=Exqa87mSMnlBYCGk kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIai0MiiYMu8ec4.htmlsi=vurn5vG4hpcdqTN-

Jezebel is from the Bible. Whenever you call a woman a jezebel it means that she's immoral and corrupts the people around her.

You can fault the movie for being a bit surface level with fairly deep social topics, but at least it got reasonable people talking a little more about gender issues. Those who criticized "Barbie" harshly probably either never saw it or actually want to see the world as a completely patriarchal society.

"If you don't like this piece of art/entertainment, you're a bad person." Always a great argument lol. The movie was fairly entertaining, Margot Robbie was good, Gosling was hilarious and I liked the production design and music, but elements of it were undeniably grating, such as the speechifying by America Ferrera's character, which was frankly unforgivable. If you can't convey your ideas in a more intelligent way than that, you haven't done your job. Turning to the audience and lecturing them for a few minutes, uninterrupted, is insane. It was bad when Chaplin did it in The Great Dictator, and it was bad here. Her daughter was fucking insufferable too, and no other character outside of the leads were funny, especially Will Ferrell who seemed to just eat up screen time for nothing. Other parts like the 2001 opening were insanely overpraised. I'm sure either of us could have come up with that idea in our sleep, and yet it was clever according to many? Decent enough overall but not a patch on Oppenheimer. Also, did it get people talking about gender? Most women I know just enjoyed it on a surface level, and others hated its "pop feminism". Every other guy I know thought some of the feminist messaging was cringe, but loved Gosling and Robbie.

@@ryanoneill3192 And yet I did specifically say "harshly" criticize. Maybe you weren't paying attention, but there was a massive outpouring of hate and demagoguery towards the film by a certain small, yet vocal sector of the populace. It wasn't rooted in reasonable critique, it was to lambast and to "tut tut" the very idea that there could be patriarchal tendencies or thoughts by some men (and yes, even some women). My criticism of the film did come from "Barbie's" kind of skimming of important issues and that some of the writing could have been a little more subtle and clever, but the basic, overarching message that Vanessa discussed was a good one. Something that a lot of people should consider and talk about instead of tossing it away automatically and heatedly as some knee jerk reaction based on internal prejudices or ignorance. To take it simply as "cringe" content doesn't make for a good argument, to borrow your words.

@@dan_hitchman007 Well, others have considered my criticisms to be harsh so I assumed I'd be lumped into the heretic category too. You admitted yourself that the hate directed towards the film came from a minority, and yet this is a major talking point for you? The movie made over a billion dollars, and every major media outlet and film critic kissed its ass, so I fail to see why they're such a problem. It's not like society en masse decided to attack women based on their dislike of the movie. And yea I did cringe a few times during the film, admittedly, but I was actually talking about friends referring to the film as cringe, not me.
