F A D E D C U L T U R E.
Fading Steps:
- Debulk if needed with 1.5 lever open
- Trim top to desired length
- Set in guideline with 0 lever closed
- lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 2 guard blend up
- clipper over comb if needed or shear over comb
- Blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever open just a little
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open to 3/4 then all the way open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom top hair
- Use electric shaver or straight razor to shave bottom hair
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

I never thought about the upside down cross as St. Peter’s cross. That really hits for me on a spiritual level. As a Christian I’m almost embarrassed that I didn’t make the connection sooner. Also! Really enjoying your videos as a resource. My son has decided he wants me to cut his hair for him for the foreseeable future since I got a T trimmer to shape up his side designs. Blows my mind since he’s been in a variety of barbers& stylists chairs that he would *want* his mom to cut his hair. Thank you for breaking down the measurements and guards etc& having it also written out! That’s sooo helpful. &when I go to apply these techniques I’m confident he won’t look like he had a “Mom’s Salon Special”

I think I’m in love with this guy’s tattoo. I love that he mentioned that little story about an upside down cross. I also love the heart ❤️ on his hand. Over all I do love the explanation on this video and how you keep it short and in to the point.

Great video, haircut looks great. I cut my own hair, l currently have a half mohawk which is on the top of my head. I'm old school would just clip the sides like you did and the taper in the back looks good. It's hard to buzz the back and twords the top but Im practicing every week or so. I have a large mirror behind me and a large mirror in front of me but off center a bit so I can see the back.

Dope cut as always 👌🏼 I was wondering, can you guys make a video with basic diagrams explaining all the different fades and how they should look? (I know some fades vary from barber to barber) but sometimes I’ll forget how a certain fade should look and I have to think about it or look it up quick. I’m still new to this barber industry and have yet to do certain fades. Some I have no idea how to start them for example shadow fades/burst fades and some others
