Minimal gear, and hauling a big heavy chair around, LOL! I used to do the same, but now take a cheap folding foam sit mat, or for real luxury, a Decathlon folding stool ;-) Great vid guys!

A friend of mine has had fantastic results with your baits on the Thames this season with double figure Barbel. I tried to copy his methods on my local small river at the weekend, 6 hours without a touch but when I fined down and went back to traditional baits I started hitting fish. I guess it is horses for courses!

What weight backlead do you use and what kind of hooklink do you use?

Cook your own hemp, it'll cost you 75% less. And if you make your own boilies/paste, again, you'll save nearly 50%. A word of warning here. Wearing shorts in long undergrowth, be careful, there may be ticks lurking.

nice river but you really dont need to use carp bait to catch wild fish in a little stream like that

@@interoggationdynamics9639 we understand Etete but a bag of boilies often lasts a barbel angler a few sessions so it doesnt work out that expensive over time and always worth it if you land a monster of course ;)
