I remember watching this when it aired. He's lived 40 + years since this interview. Thank God for this man and his music!

Amen🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Here is he is still alive and well at 74, and all the greats he came up with are no longer here😢. What an icon
Bahaha Stevie asking for Barbara to clap and she immediately does the 1 and 3 thing absolutely killed me 😂
I love Stevie Wonder so much I feel spiritually connected to him through his phenomenal music 🎶 ❤❤🎶
I have searched KZread for this clip for at least 15 years. Thank you.
Highest human being
A once in a million lifetimes legend. God bless Stevie.

Yeah around 1979 I think it's when he started wearing a full fledged afro
0:26 wow. love how Stevie can improvise, and make a song we're all familiar with sound different.
A Stevie Wonder biopic will be great
Thank you SOOOOO much for posting this! I had recorded this interview in 1979 off the TV on my dad's crappy little cassette recorder and cherished that cassette, especially the unbelievable songs he improvises at the end, for years. But I lost that cassette. Thank you!!

You're very welcome!
“Stevland,” was born in Saginaw MI where he lived until age 4.
Thank you. If you have more on Stevie Wonder kindly share.
I will never forget "Fingertips" & all the wonderful songs he wrote while he was still a child. More talent than most humans ever dreamed possible.
Genius
I think Stevie was growing his hair out cuz the braids look happened the following year. Cool interview. Haven’t seen this in a while. Thanks for posting.
Her clapping off-beat is making me angry.

lol he had to fix it for her.
The next time I see Stevie, I'm giving him a box of Paydays!
And you wonder why his still alive? He never saw anything so there was no reason to take him out. Edit: Also if she didn’t (rudely/uncreatively)interrupt him all the time she might have a better show intro
She was so salty lol
He pissed away his career for lame and trite political causes in the 1980s
