We planned to walk to St Lucy Church which is about an hours walk from Speightstown, but we didn’t make it because the heavens opened after Moon Town and although we stopped and managed to shelter for a while…. we realized this rain was going to be persistent and not the occasional sporadic burst as can normally happen in Barbados!
In spite of the rain we had a wonderful walk, we changed route to cut it short … we were totally soaked but it was still warm and the beautiful dark clouds against the backdrop of colorful houses and old sugar cane fields was truly beautiful!
We didn’t get to our planned destination but enjoyed the experience nonetheless!
Have you planned something and because of things out of your control ended up doing something else but actually enjoying it anyway!
Every minute here I am learning something new…. A new location, cultural historical site, new people… new foods, new plants…. Walking in Barbados is always a lesson in life! ……

Protection from sun rain mosquitoes etc… clothes are all very lightweight hat all have uv protection..we walk, hike into different places… with vegetation etc. But mainly because I have lupus so can’t have too much sun otherwise it causes inflammation and could activate it! It’s also cool in the morning… for locals it’s cold!😘☔️🌈☀️

Sun was probably hotttttt when she started hence protective gear; after a brief shower the sun returns with a vengeance!

It is to us because when months of dec to gebruary hit very grateful it cooler and nice at night this due to cold front from.america rest of months hot oh so hot so much appreciare when get cool nights and yes some.parrs lile st Andrew st joseph it is cold due to be on easrern side atlantic ocean breeze@@expatbarbados-jaeophelia
