The El and Liv ship will always make sense during their prime, the first decade before he left SVU for good. Now, they literally are dragging it so far in that the times and circumstances have changed. Clinging onto Stabler has not been healthy for Benson, especially the wounds she carries from him and the wounds he still has not addressed as well. Barba is freeing and a sense of what a potential healthy relationship could be, especially with someone who has been her good friend and the closest man next to Stabler that understands her. There was a time that Liv and El's chemistry was fuel and life for their survival at SVU and life in general, but flame is just flickering on and off with smoke in the air making it difficult for Olivia to breathe. She can breathe with Barba, but she's codependent state and remains inhaling toxic smoke.

Olivia and Elliot had their moment in the past. I just feel like the show should have given Tucker a better chance. Barba and Olivia seem more like besties and that is a shame...

This has always been my belief. I love Liv but she loves guys who are a little more dominating and masculine than Barba and sometimes borderline toxic to straight up needing therapy toxic. Barba doesn’t seem her type. But she definitely seems like his type, drawing conclusions from the only past relationship they’ve shown of his, his best friend’s girl. So I’ve always believed he’s in love with her but she will never be in love with him and he knows that.

@@radicalreactions1633 I'm referring to her relationships which she was clearly never in a relationship with Stabler. Stabler is the worst and I'm fully aware of that. Borderline toxic was the baseline because I believe Haden wasn't very toxic but had they kept the relationship going after season 13, it probably would have been. Cassidy is also not very toxic. He genuinely loved her and the reason they broke up is because they wanted different things. Also Benson has admitted to being in love with Stabler when she said that he felt like home, the fact that she decided to not pursue her feelings just means she's also aware it was toxic but doesn't mean she's not still in love with him. Mariska even went on interviews recently stating that.

I'm Barson (Liv&Barba) all the way still honestly. And he was the first father figure to Noah. I kind of liked Peter Stone, the guy who took over for Barba too, but Barba was just the best. He still is the best in my book. Relationship and ADA. Barba's the best. I was never in line with Tucker getting together with Olivia. I mean I thought there'd be a chance kind of and she might get back together with Cassidy after Barba left..but Tucker?..Seriously?..Olivia hated Tucker at the start..It seemed as if she hated him throughout the entire series..So yeah that threw me..And as for the ADA part, yes Carisi had his dream and I'm happy he fulfilled it and he deserved it. But it wasn't really the same.

I remember when everyone was so mad at barba and he was like nypd has fudged facts to get the results they want AND HE WAS RIGHT. Be mad all you want but Alex, Rafa, Rita they all made good points

Olivia makes strong relationships with many people in SVU. She is great with Elliot. We dream that they have a thing. She would be a great couple with Barba... But honestly the most powerful thing is the one that is not told. Alex Cabot. She is the one I would wanted to see her with in the end.

Her choices: A strong man who loves her dearly, tells her what she needs to hear, said the world turned to color when she came into his life. A man who believes in justice but does not seek violence to obtain it. He understands innocent until proven guilty and respects defense lawyers for doing their jobs. A genuinely good person. 2. A violent man who has repetitively undermined the justice system being beating suspects, has ruined a few innocent lives due to it, mocks therapy and psychiatrists. Once threatened a schizophrenic man while he was vulnerable. Constantly disrespected his marriage by having the “work wife” relationship. Left for 10 years. So, y’all tell me…who should Olivia choose, because it seems to me she is just idolizing the man she has worked with since her early 20s…instead of actually seeking love.
